BuckyRover Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I thought that GTA2 was the worst release of the series.

roversWASmylife Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Finished it. The ending was most disappointing. did they rush through it to get it released in time? Totally agree with you. The ending seemed to me that they wanted to get the game released a.s.a.p and the ending of it was rushed and poor. But, overall a top game and I really enjoyed playing it. I've become even sad enough now to start playing GTA 3 again.
Cocker Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Ok, was getting annoyed last night. Playing GTA and cannot see how to progress the story. I only have the options of:- Taking gang space Going out with Denise (I boned had her now) Doing the low rider missions I was so bored that I spawned a Jet pack and flew around for a bit And yes, I havent had that much time to play it
Glenn Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 Low rider is the one that progresses the storyline.
Cocker Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Low rider is the one that progresses the storyline. Damm it, I hate those race missions. Cheers Glenn
Glenn Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 It's actually pretty easy, like all most all the races, hang back into the first corner, then take the lead as they all crash into each other then drive fairly sensibly around the rest. Knowing the route help quite a bit but it should take no more than half a dozen attempts.

Knowing the route help quite a bit but it should take no more than half a dozen attempts. How many races do they make you go through before you can progress? My problem is that with GTA3 and with Vice City, I would get in from work have some munch and play them until about 12:30 however, now San Andreas is out I have a Mrs and have just bought a house. This is the worst thing you can possibly do especially when you also pick up a copy of Football Manager and get online with FIFA and Call of Duty. I try to play but the nagging and interrupting you receive just makes you turn it off and go and sit in front of Midsummer Murders (after you have brewd up and made the supper of course) As you can tell, I miss my games
Glenn Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 How many races do they make you go through before you can progress? Just the one at this stage I seem to remember (there are some more "storyline" races later on in the game, but not for a while yet).
sumps Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 A lad from my work claims that on the 'American' version of GTA san Andreas you can ride horses. Everyone i've spoken to says it's not true and I didn't think that there was a different version for Americans. Can anyone from USA confirm?
Glenn Posted January 16, 2005 Author Posted January 16, 2005 I can say with 100% confidence the only changes between the various regional releases of GTA:SA the default video outout (NTSC/PAL to suit the difference in TVs) and some very minor "localization" stuff (spellings in menus etc). The was a rumour the Australian version was going to be slightly "sanitized" (some of the gore removed) but I believe this never actually happened. So, no, there is no chance you could ride a horse. You can tell you freind from me that he's a big fat liar
sumps Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Thought so. He tried telling everyone that there were different versions for Japan, American and Europe etc. Will go and laugh in his face!
Rovermatt Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 I haven't commented on this despite the fact that I got it for Christmas. It's fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. GET IT!
Biddy Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Well, it's finally been announced for the PC and XBOX. Out June 7th in the US and June 10th in Europe. Still ages off
Paul Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I have a 12 year old who wants to buy this game......however I get the impression it involves gore, sex, drugs etc. Am I right? The cover says suitable for ages 18 and over. So would that be correct or not?
Ste B Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I wouldnt say theres much gore, but there plenty of sex, crime, violence, drugs and bad language. Its great
Flopsy Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 the amount of swearing and violence would make it an 18 in my mind - coz as a 12year old Im sure he'll parrot everything he hears. so prepare for a litany of Mother ###### etc etc if he gets to play it Mofo
Paul Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I wouldnt say theres much gore, but there plenty of sex, crime, violence, drugs and bad language. Its great
Rovermatt Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Can someone please tell me where to get attack helicopters and fighter jets for vigilante missions (as in the last game).
Glenn Posted March 3, 2005 Author Posted March 3, 2005 I wouldnt say theres much gore, but there plenty of sex, crime, violence, drugs and bad language. Its great Any game that lets you beat a cop to death with a double ended dildo whilst listening to Tupac's "I don't give a ####" during which Shaun Ryder is knocking one off the wrist and braging of taking 23 Es in one go, probably deserves an 18 ! Seriously, just because it's a game doesn't mean it's suitable for kids.
Glenn Posted March 3, 2005 Author Posted March 3, 2005 Can someone please tell me where to get attack helicopters and fighter jets for vigilante missions (as in the last game). Harrier Jump Jets can be obtained from the aircraft carrier in San Fiero (although after a certain point in the game you get one of your own too). Area 69 has an array of military vehicles, including the Apache helicopter (and tanks). You'll not get them out without s stuggle though. My highest vigilante mission is 78 It's very easy when you know how (and I don't mean the cheating way).
Glenn Posted March 3, 2005 Author Posted March 3, 2005 You're all gits by the way. You convinced me the last level was hard. So I eventually got bored trying to get as close to 100% as I could before doing it, so I tried it, and finished it ........ ON MY FIRST ATTEMPT. I imagine it would be a little more challenging if you're not fireproof (fire missions are something I normally do early on, they are a good way to learn the map and make some quick bucks), but still, I'd have expected more of a challenge. I'm still working towards 100% though.

They are really slow, or am I flying it the wrong way?
Glenn Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 You're flying it wrong ! When you nick one for a mission it explains how to use it. The plane has two modes, VTOL and normal. VTOL mode is for landing and taking off and only allow slow movement, but in ANY direction (including up and down). In normal mode it flys like a normal plane (and pretty mast too). To switch to normal mode push the right analogue stick up for a second or so, for VTOL pull it down for a second or so. Hope that helps.
Rovermatt Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 (edited) I shall try it now. Don't go anywhere. It worked. Merci. Edited March 4, 2005 by Rovermatt
Rovermatt Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 My brother was having problems with a mission so I did it for him, I then saved over my own (75% completed) game file. Consequently I'm having to pick up where he left off. Millie is proving a real problem (I passed this mission first time around) as she is never at home. She is an essential girlfriend as she has the key card for the casino heist. Is there any way of getting around this? Cheats, tips etc? Cheers.
