bob fleming Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 It'll feel as though we're playing 12 men for the first few minutes of the match. After which time Rovers will realise that the small "fella" in yellow isn't actually an East Anglian version of Ronnie Hildersley but actually the ball. We'll then take the game by the scruff of the neck and win 2-1. Emerton will open the scoring at 12-1 at 3.28. Huckerby will equalise on 65 minutes and then *deep sigh - why do I bother?* a last minute penalty scored by Sir Barry Ferguson will give us the points. Those from this Messageboard who have gone for the weekend will be too drunk to remember a goddamn thing. Well done - enjoy.
Quack Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 A clean sheet is too much to ask for - Huckerby has too much pace for our back 4, I would like to see Stead / Bothroyd start and then bring on Dickov for the last 20 - 25 minutes 2-1 to Rovers Stead / Emerton.
Nuclearsox Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 It'll feel as though we're playing 12 men for the first few minutes of the match. After which time Rovers will realise that the small "fella" in yellow isn't actually an East Anglian version of Ronnie Hildersley but actually the ball. Unfortunately in that time the referee, Steve Dunn, books 5 Rovers' players for kicking out at the "small fella" as he makes darting runs into our penalty area and, with the sort of refereeing inconsistency we're becoming so used to lately, penalty appeals are waved away and the "small fella" escapes any punishment, as he blatently trips Dickov when clean through on goal. Norwich 1 - 2 Rovers
Rovermatt Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 This one is obvious!!! Norwich havent won all season so the nicest team in the premiership will lay down, and im sure some Norwich player who hasn't scored in over 300 games will get the winner. It always happens A man after my own state of mind.
ABBEY Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 0-4 ROVERS BITE BACK!!! NEILL,FERGY,STEAD AND DICKOV TO SCORE PENALTY MISSED AT 0-2
DP Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Sold out our allocation for the naarwich game. http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lat...,,10303,00.html I knew this would come back and bite me on the arse some time. B*llocks Ditto. The last time I had to pull strings to get a Rovers ticket was for Gillingham away - last game in Div One ! This is the headline on Norwich's official site ticket news section EXTRA 700 TICKETS FOR BLACKBURN MATCH CITY are pleased to announce that approximately 700 extra tickets have become available to Club Members for Saturday's Premiership clash with Blackburn Rovers at Carrow Road. The Lancashire club have confirmed they will not be taking their full allocation for the game, so there will be extra seats available for Norwich fans in the Jarrold Stand. If anyone going down to Norwich tomorrow has a spare ticket, or knows of any other way I can get one (in the away end of course) then PM me please, and I'll pick up later tonight. cheers
Blue and White Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 We need a clear and solid victory here, to get some points on the board and finally start looking forward up the table. There's no more room for failiures, not if we want to do anything decent this season. 0-2 Rovers.
American Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 0-4, Rovers. The much-maligned Stead, Matteo, and Neill x2.
Ozz Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 any sat TV stations showing the match in pubs?? http://www.satfootball.com/ Hmm, that`s a no then. More ironing for this writer, without a genuine excuse to go to the pub and watch Rovers. Also, good preview Anti Smiths Euro Fan. Though why you can`t dig Morrisey and the boys is beyond me.
92er Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 It sounds as though Short might miss the match. Thompson must be feeling a lot better-seemed much more positive about his come back in the LET.Might be on the bench.

Norwich 1 - 2 Rovers Fleurklin' hilarious that lads
des Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Its a game that both teams need to win and both can not afford to lose, so its a draw then
Kev_B Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Norwich Scrappy game, Stead to get off the mark and boost his confidence just before half time, with a late second by sub Jansen. Come on Rovers!!
modes98 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 0-4, Rovers. The much-maligned Stead, Matteo, and Neill x2. matteo and short are doubts! thommo looks set for a role on the bench (sky sports) Hope he puts MGP in there somewhere! Left Foot!!!!!
grizfoot Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Looks like a bit of a centreback crisis. With Amo out and Matteo & Short both unlikely to play. Looks like it's gonna be Nissa and Todd then
Ewood Dream Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Looks like a bit of a centreback crisis. With Amo out and Matteo & Short both unlikely to play. Bar Short- biggest blessing of the season. I find it quite hilarious how the media will portray us having defensive problems on reflection of Amoruso and Matteo being injured
den Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Rovers: Friedel Neill McEveley Todd Johanssen Reid Ferguson Tugay Emerton Dickov Bothroyd
krislu Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Rovers: Friedel Neill McEveley Todd Johanssen Reid Ferguson Tugay Emerton Dickov Bothroyd Subs: Enckelman, Flitcroft, Stead, Thompson, Douglas Good to see Thompson back. Btw, Pedersen is injured
mattyc2422 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Hopefully Andy Todd can pick up the pace quickly. Pleased that Macca kept his spot.
rover6 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Let's just hope Douglas doesn't have to fill in as an emergency right back at any point...
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 should be the same team as the other night, without question and i aint bothered how we get it, aslong as we can get a result that will yearn 3 points...even a draw will be ok and not a total disaster.
J-2 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Been away for a few weeks, so I'm trying to catch up... ....but why no Michael Gray in the lineup or on the bench? Is he injured...?
