Tris Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 First away game for me this season. Is any of the MB members meeting up in any pubs before the game? Bloomin' heck I could spit. I spent hours compiling the entry for the "Away Guide" "The Moon Under Water" on Deansgate is the preferred option. This should probably be posted in Ask Admin Or perhaps in the Away Guide section Because it's pretty clear that 99.9% of the users of this site hit directly onto the main messageboard. Is there any way that the "pinned" section could be replaced by pinned links. So (eg) the entire Man City match preview actually sits in "Away guide" but the link is pinned at the top of the main board, and the existing advice in the current "awayguide" section forms the top of each relevant thread?? And then after the event, someone "hoovers" the thread of all non-match day info content, and the remaining practical advice stays in "Away guide" - perhaps labelled "ManCity 12.11.04" And the pinned section on the main board moves on to have a link to the Birmingham game. Same treatment ... and in a couple of years we have a great reference database to previous away trips alongside the same great match preview threads.

vyeo Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 without donkey matteo - draw, with fighting chance of win. with the donkey - defeat
waggy Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 i was quite confident about today before the tp sacking yesterday, now i think 2 things could happen,we get a stuffing or we gain a creditable victory,so i go for man city 1 v 1 rovers
roversWASmylife Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 To drink - The Stanley lets small numbers of away fans in. I was told to avoid Queen Victoria and Crossroads pubs at the bottom of Grey Mare Lane by a City fan. Man City v Blackburn - Team News
Simon Says Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 First away win of the season. Man C 0 Rovers 2. Feeling so confident we might even get a penalty!
Aussie_Rover Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Have a good feeling about this match 2-1 Rovers Emerton, Stead
Hasta Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 I've just snapped up all of the 11/1 about Stead on Betfair as first goalscorer. Come on Big bad John!!!
Bobby G Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Jansen on bench and so is Matteo alongside Thompson and Enckelman and Djorkaeff. No De Pedro or MGP anywhere to be seen. Id rather think our next home game may seen one of them featured.
Maverick Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Todays line-up CITY: James, Mills, Distin, Dunne, Jordan, Sibierski, McManaman, Bosvelt, S. Wright-Phillips, Flood, Anelka. Subs: Waterrus, Fowler, Reyna, Onuoha, B. Wright-Phillips. ROVERS: Friedel, Neill, Todd, Johansson, McEveley, Reid, Tugay, Ferguson, Emerton, Stead Dickov. Subs: Enckelman, Jansen, Djorkaeff, Thompson, Matteo.
Ricky Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Bugger. Got 11.5 -1 on Stead to score first and he misses a good chance. City go up the other end and score....
Maverick Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 One minute before half time. Could get a goal against us at a worst time.
John Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 (edited) Saturday afternoons such a depressing event these days. 4 games until Xmas and the signs are bad, very bad. Edited November 13, 2004 by John
Bobby G Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Stead subbed out before half time for Jansen.Cant see the logic except for injury.
Bobby G Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Another disappointment on the way.Our bench lacked a striker who could make an impact, unless Matt proves us wrong again.Im disappointed that we didnt put a left winger on the bench,to get the balance right maybe as a substitute.AHHH. Defeat is disastrous as Southampton have won already.
