Blackpool_Rover Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 TEAM NEWS Gallagher starts alongside Dickov Short starts in place of mceverly Johansson moves to left back subs... encks, thommo, MGP, flitcroft, matteo
herbergeehh Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Wtf... no strikers on the bench? I guess that means Stead didn't make it in time then? Sorry to see young McEveley totally out of the team, kinda hope it's through injury..
frosty Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 no strikers on the bench? Heard Pedersen could play upfront................
Maverick Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 TEAM NEWS Gallagher starts alongside Dickov Short starts in place of mceverly Johansson moves to left back subs... encks, thommo, MGP, flitcroft, matteo Thommo on the bench? I would think he would start this one after the great second half last sunday. Does this mean that Tugay is in the starting line-up?
roversmum Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Oh dear. (remembering some of Nissa's previous efforts at left back) Go, Gally, Go
herbergeehh Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Frosty: Gamst could probably do a job up front in Tromsø, but before he has established himself as a good leftwinger in Prem, he will not be something to put up front IMO. Maverick: Correct, if this is true.. My guess is that Thommo isn't fit enough for 90 minutes just yet- and that Sparky wants to have some firepower on the bench.
1864roverite Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) can anyone tell me whats happening ON the pitch as all I can see from every sky camera is the Rovers fans taking their seats, eating their pies or sipping their drinks and chatting !!! tris take note there is no more media interest than on any other match day Edited November 27, 2004 by 1864roverite
Maverick Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Line-up Friedel, Neill, Short, Todd, Johansson, Reid, Ferguson, Tugay, Emerton, Dickov, Gallagher. sub Flitcroft, Pedersen, Thompson, Matteo, Enckelman Do not like having Tugay on the field, but sparky knows best.
hangthadj Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 I hate being stuck at work during this. It sounds like Rovers have total control of the game though.
hangthadj Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Do not like having Tugay on the field, but sparky knows best. I gotta think Thompson comes in as a second half sub again for Tugay.
krislu Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Do not like having Tugay on the field, but sparky knows best. I gotta think Thompson comes in as a second half sub again for Tugay. Tugay has infact been very good in the first half, as has the whole team. Dickov is a bit anoying though, to greedy imo... We should have been 2-0 infront at least!
wozaup Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 dominated first half we should be about 3 or 4 up. they have been ristricted to 2 shots radsinski and pembridge.
American Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Tugay has been awesome in the first half. Best central midfielder on the pitch.
Blackpool_Rover Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) Quite a scrappy game so i think it was a good decision to start Tugay. Well done sparky. Of course, theres a long way to go yet. We have to keep concentrating, Fulham will come at us 2nd half, Coleman is gonna rip them to bits in the dressing room. Edited November 27, 2004 by Blackpool_Rover
krislu Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) Good to see Johansson on the left rather than McEveley. If only dickov can pass the ball a bit more rather than having a go himself, then I think we can socre a few more in the second half.. But, I'm a bit nervous, really hope we still will be attacking minded, because I would put my morgage on Fulham scoring at least one goal.. Edited November 27, 2004 by krislu
Shevchenko Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Should be 3 up by now. Really worried that we'll throw away a win here as the game goes on. Totally in control of the game though, hope we don't fall asleep in the second half. Dickov's missed another HUGE chance just as he did against Brum.
herbergeehh Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Agree, Tugay's done great.. Ferguson disappointing in the 1st half, not easy to be the distributor when our wingers cut in like they've done. Would love to see Thommo come on, but I don't see it happening just yet, since we've been solid. Fulham horribly bad, the Senegalese in centre midfield has been absolutely rubbish.
1864roverite Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 for some reason over here in Leyland the differing camera angles are showing some very interesting views of how the Rovers fans have made a pattern in the stnds - seating arrangement that is. I cant really see whats going on pitchwise but I have seen the Rovers fans celebrate so are we winning ? BTW I have just watched Mrs Benson eat a balti pie in under 58 seconds, the most amazing thing is that her husband has just beaten her record ! now then whats the score ??
FourLaneBlue Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) Jay on the left? Nissa on the left? Sparky's knobbly-kneed auntie on the left? What on earth has happened to Mickey Gray? Does Hughes just not rate him? While he may not have been having the best of seasons he is still our best left back surely? Edited November 27, 2004 by FourLaneBlue
Rovermatt Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) We've been very good in this first half, nowhere the easy meat of previous outings. Still, the second half is to come. Edited November 27, 2004 by Rovermatt
rover6 Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Still, the second half is to come. I don't trust our defence to hold out, what we need is another goal...
Bazzathegreat Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 get 2-0 rovers dickov pen, whats goin on 2 in 3 games
