Bolton 2 Rovers 3

Rovers academy stars tonight knocked local rivals Bolton out of the FA Youth Cup 3-2 at the Reebok, with goals from, Welch, Barker and Garner.

Rovers took the lead on 13 minutes, when Ralph Welch thundered home a 25 yard shot into the bottom of the left hand corner of the Bolton goal and increased their lead 10 minutes later through Keith Barker.

In the 25th minute Bolton pulled it back to 2-1 with a tap in from Sissons and despite dominant play by the Rovers Bolton equalised shortly after the break, when Fojut headed home a corner.

With Rovers taking control of the game and dominating play, Rovers regained the lead when Joe Garner scored from close range in the 55th minute.
