morning folks

not one to normally talk about gossip, but this comes from an excellent source.

savage WAS at brokhall yesterday. rovers expect to get him for around £3.2 million.

fergie is settled where he is, but it looks like hughes want to radically shake up the midfield and will listen to offers. souness expected with a bid in the next few days.

again - it's not gospel, but this source has not been wrong about anything in the past.

looks like my source could have been right.

lets see what hughes has up his sleeve in the trasnfer market.

maybe he's wanted fergie out for a while. . .

I like this Hughes more and more. He's clearly on my wavelength!!

Could make sense.

He's been saying for a while ''Ferguson is a top quality player,' when he clearly isn't.

Perhaps getting the price up.

talk about endearing yourself to your new club - pull off such a coup that no one saw it coming...

I've been of the opinion for ages that Savage has been brought in to directly replace Ferguson - and the latter leaving is very good news indeed. Hughes has probably put up no resistance at all to keep Fergy other than the public pronouncements which only the naiive listen to anyway .

Good luck to Hughes . I've been very impressed with the start to his reign at Ewood and hopefully we'll go from strength to strength once he has moulded the team entirely in his own image .

That's my theory anyway.... blink.gifrover.gif

Breaking News on SSN.

Rovers agree fee with Birmingham for Savage.

Doesn't give an amount yet though.

according to sky sports fee agreed, Savage in talks at the moment Medical tommorow fee could be £3 mill depending on appearances

Would laugh my undercrackers off if they donated it to the tsunami appeal instead of giving it to Brum... they could hardly refuse to let us have the player - would make them look like right heatless b*****ds...

I think he's always been very limited and that players need more than stamina to contribute at this level. Until about 20 minutes ago I couldn't stand him.

Funny how things change.

One Robbie Savage, there's only one Robbie Savage .............

brilliant cya sav have fun with bowen and hughes smile.gif

3.2 million for a player who is 31 in 6 months time is good business smile.gif

thank you blackburn for holding on and paying us decent money for him

frees up 30k a week to bring in a midfielder who can actually pass the ball forward smile.gif

I've heard from 5 live the other night that it will be £2.5m up front. With it going up to £3m depending on how well Rovers do- getting into europe(which wont happen biggrin.gif )

So Brum have settled on quite a bit less than there asking price of £3.5m
