Maverick Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 (edited) Good to get the goal right before half time. Got a good feeling about the second half. Hope MGP can get 10 15 min at the end. Edited January 3, 2005 by Maverick
American Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Friedel and Keily (however you spell it) both with excellent saves.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 With the way Emerton and Thompson are playing, we will be mad to take them off!! 2nd half predictions, Stead to score, Rovers to win!

No chance if its 1-0. Only way he will get a game is if we score another or they score one or two. Personally I just want to see us win.
Flopsy Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Gally's a new father - congrats - have a shave you chav
vindaloobob Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 attendance under 20000 that's a shame but i don' think it's that surprising when you have 4 games in the space of just over a week, at one of the most financially demanding times of the year!
Rovermatt Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 No, daheri, an interview will not affect that, but the tiredness of some of the players might. 1-0 Rovers, Jemal Johnson with a late winner after coming on as a sub and being heralded as the next savior. He then goes on a run of several months without a goal, because he isn't playing much, and people start to say he's the worst striker we've ever had. No, no, no. That's quite obviously Alan Shearer. He hasn't scored for us for years...
Flopsy Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Gallagher on for............ .................................... .................................... .................................... .................................... John Stead

Backroom DE. Posted January 3, 2005 Backroom Posted January 3, 2005 Good result. We never looked threatened by any of Charlton's players. A much needed home win, well played Rovers.
Bobby G Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 6 points off the relegation zone.So much to breath for now!!!What a vital win!!! Great X-Mas period we picked up 2 wins, one draw and a last minute defeat.Great improvement in this side. The spirit! Now if we could kill off the games sooner rather than sweatin for the 1-0's it would be a relief!!! Palace won 2-0,otherwise it wouldve been even a better night!
vyeo Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 great result, and a good team performance overall. more importantly, another clean sheet! apart from 1 good save, friedal did not have much to do. everybody did well, from stead to thommo to todd, who was magnificent again. overall, very good result, especially coupled with norwich losing. slowly building a gap now between us and the bottom 3, so may we continue moving upwards!
Radagast Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Well done the lads for proving me wrong. As Bobby G says, a very productive Christmas period - now lets build on it.
Tom Pringle Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 3-0 Charlton. An easy win for them. Love being wrong! Roll on 5:15 so i can see the goal
Bobby G Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 It feels so good to be picking up 3 points again "regularly" It was far too long. On to Cardiff now,and a cup-run.I hope he lets MGP have a game and give some of these players a rest.
T4E Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Goal was very well worked, clever run by Ferguson, well held up and Thompsons first time cross was superb. Straight forward finish for Emerton and he took it well. Very pleasing result, brilliant Christmas for the Rovers. We must take this on from here, roll on Pompey.
Flopsy Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 thats 7 points from a possible 12 points not to bad
tchocky Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 A good result. Might it be a slightly different side on the pitch at Cardiff? The rest is surely welcome.
yellowsubmarine Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 This was a great relief after that 0-1 loss at Villa. Up The Rovers!
