Rovers have this afternoon confirmed the signing of DC United Washington and New Zealand Captain Ryan Nelson.

The 27 year-old centre half who can also play midfield, had trials with Rovers, towards the end of last year, has been offered an 18-month contract.

Nelsen who has been voted American Soccer League All-Star twice, as well as the 2003-2004's Defender of the Year. Captianing DC United to their 4th title in 9 years.
