ally Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Anyone seen how the premiership debutants have played today?
modes98 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 (edited) 6 yellows now! dickov out of bolton game! Edited January 15, 2005 by modes98
Maverick Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 second red card. this time Portsmouths Andy Faye.
Maverick Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 3 points. We are now 9 points above releagtion. Good to get some breathing room to the teams below us on the table.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 3 PTS and Norwich, Palace and Southampton all losing , a good day all round
yellowsubmarine Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 This is the kind of game, if you want to win, you have gotta battle!
Rovermatt Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 1-0. A massive stride away from the dreaded drop zone. Another clean sheet is also extremely welcome.
Manchester Blue Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Has someone been sent off? I'm not sure, don't think so otherwise someone would have posted it.
PABBY Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Listening on Radio Lancs, it sounded like all the Rovers bookings were deserved. They also said that Nelson and Mokoena had "sound" debuts. Onwards and upwards! Well done Rovers!
Krillin Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 It's probably a dumb question, and I really should know the answer, but why doesn't Dickov's suspension cover the Cardiff cup game ? I thought the new rule was the suspension came into effect for the next game to be played. Still, a good result today from a potentially tricky game, and the other scores went our way too........got to be worth a beer in anyone's book !!
Bobby G Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 What a result!Massive! Lets hope Bazza realizes we are on the way up and decides to really give it a go at Rovers. MGP,3 goals in his last 3 appearances from the left of midfield. I didnt see how his "lightweight,over-hyped,fragile body, who just couldnt cut it in his first 3 games as he was supposedly crap beyond redemption" stature affected his performance today. Goals are what count, whether he played crap today and last week, doesnt matter.he scored 2 goals and got us the 3 points today, something many of our players have not been able to do. At last we have found a goalscorer.Lets hope Stead starts scoring, and Hughes adds one more striker to our team and with Savage we have got one hell of a team to look forward to. Big SHOUT OUT to Todd who led the team today!

Dickov's suspension starts 7 days after the 5th booking, under the totting-up rules. Red card suspensions start immediately.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 ABSOLUTELY ROVER THE MOON!!!! Every single result went our way today
Ozz Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 It were my lucky preview that won it!!! I like days like this. Gonna stare at ceefax page 324 for about an hour now.
