Alan75 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 When youve all agreed the date, venue and kick off time, let me know by pm and I'll stick it in the news section.
Sydney Rovers Posted March 15, 2005 Author Posted March 15, 2005 BTW I had a house-warming on Sunday and the bath was full of Coopers Pale Ale, Sparkling Ale, Dark Ale, Mild Ale and Cooper's Heritage. I've still got 3/4 of slab of Dark Ale left if you want to come over after the game pg, that's a very dangerous question to ask, just hope your wife doesn't mind a room full of Rovers fans after a Rovers win. Shall we post details of this on the rovers email list as well? Yes please, the more the merrier I say.
Bijani Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Oh woe is me. I am only a poor uni student, who has to work at the weekends to make ends meet. (sob sob) But Ill be going round to a mates place to watch the game. sigh...
Ninjathunder Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Lats time i was there it was pretty much all CUB with a few irish /english ales thrown in (tetleys and killkenny spring to mind).. Last time I was there it was pretty much all Worthingtons...... As Chris will vouch, a truly great night out!! The CD is a lucky pub!!!
Sydney Rovers Posted March 16, 2005 Author Posted March 16, 2005 Thanks Alan75 for this quote http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/?showtopic=11362 The event will kick off from 8pm, so it is questionable whether everyone will be still standing when the game kicks off. Come on, we'll be fine by kick off, although I'm not too sure how we will be when the game is finished
Blueboy Downunder Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 i'll be leathered probably just on kick-off time..... or is that not a surprise to you SR?
Chris_Roe Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 I fully intend to last the entire night and happily weave my way home at around 6 am after the bolton norwich match.... so its a question of pacing myself carefully... oh sod that, lets just go hard
Blueboy Downunder Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 chris, you know the saying out here mate.... "GO HARD OR GO HOME"
pg Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Forgot to post it to the rovers list I can't access my yahoo mail from work.... can I just post it to the list from a different address? BTW I'll probably be driving that night anyway
mattyc2422 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 How is everyone getting home? When is the last train?
Chris_Roe Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 last train is around 1am so its kind of irrelevent unless you leave at half time... first train sunday is around 7am so that will be the one for me...
mattyc2422 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Struth - stupid Connex should take my needs into account.
Blueboy Downunder Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 lads what about me...i live in geelong. either i call mym mumu to get her to come and pick me up....and get shouted at in the process......or i just fork out for a cab in the process to go stay at a mates place in sunshine.
emerton Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 hopefully ill be able to make it, but i have a sporting commitment sunday morning at 10, so i cant get the first train!! on the subject of melbourne roverites, are they any other supporters that attend deakin uni apart from me and downunderrover. because ive seen a couple of rovers shirts around, repeat offenders rather than just the odd shirt
Aussie_Rover Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Train in for for me & Taxi home, i aint driving home If anyone lives around the Thomastown area i'm happy to share a cab
Sydney Rovers Posted March 18, 2005 Author Posted March 18, 2005 I knew there was a reason why I'm staying at a hotel near the pub Just have to make sure I'm at the hotel for the cab I booked on Sunday morning. Anyway, aren't we all going to pg's house for drinks after the game?

I don't wear a shirt myself, since mine is hopelessly out of date. Edited March 18, 2005 by James No. 7

Otherwise I'm in, and happy to share a cab.

pg Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Anyway, aren't we all going to pg's house for drinks after the game? Hah! Nice try Mrs PG has fallen ill, and won't be attending tomorrow night. This will also mean that a bunch of drunken yobs with funny Lancashire accents turning up at 2:30 am will not be taken with a sense of humour

mhead Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Hope one of the discussion topics is a whipround to send one of you to the Semi-Final,the final or any match.
Sydney Rovers Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 Hope one of the discussion topics is a whipround to send one of you to the Semi-Final,the final or any match. That's a great idea, maybe the person to go to the semi will be the person who had to travel the furthest distance. I wonder who that is?
West Aussie Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Robbie Slater has just given the boys in Melbourne a plug in his half time summary of the match on Fox Sports. Well done boys, hope there is something to shout about in the second half. Go you Blues!
