Backroom trueblue Posted January 31, 2005 Backroom Posted January 31, 2005 Its a real sickener, Rovers stood by him after his injury, nursed him back to full fittness when he was probably being paid an arm and a leg and this is the thanks we get. Cheers for the loyalty Barry. Stuff loyalty when the latest property deal is in the offing ! Nice one Bazza... I hope all your houses fall down mate !

Robertson Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Should I expect to see any burning Fergy effigy's at the chelsea match? good riddance to bad rubbish I say, hope like the rest of us that we got an excellent deal out of it.
USABlue Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Buggar Ferguson, what about our team. We have lost a decent player and we have done absolutley nothing to strengthen our weakest link, very upset over here.
waggy Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Its a real sickener, Rovers stood by him after his injury, nursed him back to full fittness when he was probably being paid an arm and a leg and this is the thanks we get. Cheers for the loyalty Barry. the only loyalty in football are the fans, clowns on here slated me for saying i would boo wee bazza if he ever played for us again, does the cow still jump over the moon.good riddance to a man of no fibre
Parasyte Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Spose we can look at it as Ferg out, Savage in, and hopefull some profit to cover the fact Sav is older... brightest side I could find to look at anyway.
Flopsy Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 savage and flitcroft CM - Thompson Right - Emerton/MGP left not a too bad combination
RovertheHill Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 (edited) Yes, good riddance to an unambitious little s**t. However, he was our best central midfielder, like him or not. We haven't replaced him. Unfortunately, the only other creative CENTRAL midfielder we have is Tugay and he's in the twilight of his career (and Thommo is NOT a CM) So, not only do we not have a strike force good enough to score prolificly in the prem league, we have nobody pulling the strings and creating the chances in the first place. I'm sorry, but if you think Flitty and Savage will do that then you're a sandwich short of a picnic Edited January 31, 2005 by RovertheHill
American Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 savage and flitcroft CM - Thompson Right - Emerton/MGP left not a too bad combination I'd rather have Savage/Tugay in a diamond than Savage/Flitty.
Brownie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 We've signed nobody and lost our club captain. What a crap Deadline day.
Flopsy Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 tugays been useless when hes played Flitty hasnt
American Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 tugays been useless when hes played Flitty hasnt Ah, but last season Tugay was useless until he was put at the top of the diamond....
Parasyte Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Lets hope he signs for Gers and then breaks his knees the wrong way, and can never play again. not that I'm bitter at the Scot, git.
BRFC4EVA Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 So has mummies boy gone then? Aint seen anything on ssp yet
roversWASmylife Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Maybe we should go for a late bid for Koumas Well said Ricky. It's not over yet the deadline, the club should be doing everything they can if they want the club to have a relegation-free worry come May. This is the latest link I've found on Ferguson. Ferguson set for Rangers return
RevidgeBlue Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 We've signed nobody and lost our club captain. What a crap Deadline day. My thoughts exactly. Signing Savage and the two defenders and retaining Ferguson for the rest of the season at least would have been a reasonable window. Instead of which with two hours 45 mins to go it's looking increasingly likely we're going to lose our best midfielder without a replacement and the real problem positions up front haven't even been addressed.
PABBY Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 SSN - Fergie has passed his medical & will sign a 5 and a half year contract.
Ste B Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Clubs still in talks, but medical passed and he is set to sign a 5.5 year contract (though in his case it means nothing)
Guest Kamy100 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 According to SSN. Fergie passed medical, clubs still talking about a few little details but he is poised to return to Rangers.
BringOnNextSeason Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 his agent has stated we havent as yet accepted a bid, but that negotiations were close enough for a medical
mode_m Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 What a great captain Rovers had. Way to stick it to the club.
FourLaneBlue Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 (edited) Quiz Question - Who are the three brfcs board members glued to their "transfer deadline day minute by minute" sites? Edited January 31, 2005 by FourLaneBlue
krislu Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I wonder what Hughes can do with £6m-£8m during the summer...
Modi Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Remember that Bothroyd appeared from nowhere late on the closure of the last window. Perhaps another equally stunning deal is in offing?
