Paul Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 The T/O say 10,000 home tickets sold and The Fernhurst say 1500 expected from Cardiff.

WaffleWag Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Team news: Nissa on the bench! Friedel Neill Todd Mokoena Matteo Emerton Tugay Thommo Pedersen Dickov Gallagher
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) did anybody get he team? i heard the bench with stead, johnson and nissa on it! missed the rest ahha well done waffle! Edited January 19, 2005 by modes98
philipl Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Matteo in at left back for Nissa and Neill predictably in at right back. Matteo is a big risk given he did so badly at Cardiff. Gally and Dickov start up front.
benhben Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I would have given dickov a rest personally and gone with Stead Gally or Johnson Gally. Also id probably have rested todd as we dont want our on form defender burning out. But apart from that pretty much the expected team. Pedersen and Gally to score in a 2-1 win
greggyk Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 ben-dickov's playing tonight because he suspended for the notlob game
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) can you hear the brummies sing.....? i can't hear a ****** thing!!!! get in!!! modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) yes get in! don't know who sccored! o its thommo! I think lucas feels under alot of pressure to perform now! edit: 31:30 Cross by David Thompson(Blackburn), goal by David Thompson(Blackburn) right-footed (bottom-left of goal) from right channel (30 yards).Blackburn 2-1 Cardiff (from rovers world match live) Edited January 19, 2005 by modes98
Robertson Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 if only the ever dependable Nelsen was playing!!! (bold statement after only one game for us but what the heck)
youandwhosearmy Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 anyone else chuffed to bits that thompson looks to be back to his old self with the whole ferguson situation, step up mr thompson
Robertson Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 back of the net!!!! now dickov has been booked save him and put steady on second half to notch his first of season.
vindaloobob Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Cross by David Thompson(Blackburn), goal by David Thompson(Blackburn) so thompson is literally all over the pitch
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Cross by David Thompson(Blackburn), goal by David Thompson(Blackburn) so thompson is literally all over the pitch well i think it means he crossed it and it sort of somehow ended up in the net!!! Almost got a third but for a good save!
Nayef Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 edit: 31:30 Cross by David Thompson(Blackburn), goal by David Thompson(Blackburn) right-footed (bottom-left of goal) from right channel (30 yards).Blackburn 2-1 Cardiff I'm pretty amazed by Thompson's pace. He manages to cross and then judging by that statement, runs faster than the flight of the ball to score the goal off his own cross. Incredible stuff. Perhaps it is a windy night at Ewood?
USRoverME Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) others beat me to it, but can anyone who is listening or watching give a true account of how thommo can send in a cross that results in an assist on his own goal? Or at least correct the apparent mistake from the Rovers World text. Edited January 19, 2005 by USRoverME
LeChuck Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 See...Thompson is a far better player than Ferguson in the middle. Flog the git and let Thompson loose in the Premiership in the centre of midfield. What the hell is Matteo playing for? He should be 4th choice left back, I hope it's just because it's the FA Cup.
Yorkshire Blue Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 From the radio commentary, it sound as though a diagonal ball was sent into the box by Thompson, which Gallagher nearly got on the end of. Gallagher's presence was enough to put off the keeper, and it bounced between Gally and the keeper and drifted straight in. Flukey, they said.
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 others beat me to it, but can anyone who is listening or watching give a true account of how thommo can send in a cross that results in an assist on his own goal? Or at least correct the apparent mistake from the Rovers World text. maybe his cross was a really short one in order to fool the cardiff defence. Which he then ran onto and placed perfectly through about 4 players into the corner!
Robertson Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 agree Le Chuck, Thommo is ten times the player ferguson is and as for Matteo.... perhaps he can team up with fergy and run a pub up in glasgow called 'the loaf and bottler'
