USABlue Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Hopefully we have already held talks and he will choose us Fingers crossed you are right.

Parasyte Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 TBH, if we did get him, I can see him being used as a wide player, with stead up front. It would give us Dickovs goals, a forward presence, and some attacking pace. Only thing is that if you beieve all you read, he kicked up a stink because of playing out wide. Still, I wouldnt moan at a Bellamy/Dickov front line, especially if MGP can continue to play well o nthe left.
Guest Kamy100 Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 talks will take place in England with Celtic. I am clutching at straws, isn't that a bit wierd that talks are taking place in England.
Brownie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Shows a lack of interest to me. Still, agree with the straw clutching.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Maybe talks are scheduled with other English clubs afterwards or before,etc... If it was a done deal, he probably would have gone straight to Scotland, right?
krislu Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I see some possible outcomes from all this: 1. We sell Ferguson and don't get anyone in 2. We sell Ferguson and sign Bellamy for £6m 3. We sell Ferguson and sign a loan deal with Bellamy 4. We keep Ferguson and sign a loan deal with Bellamy 5. We keep Ferguson and don't get Bellamy or anyone else 6. We keep Ferguson and sign some unknown lad (sokoto, or whatever) Right now I would take any of 2, 3, 4, and 6 What would you prefer?
Eddie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Same as you, but also if we aren't bringing anyone in, then I'd say don't sell Ferguson.
duff Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 5 looks most likely to me. But I'm still hoping 4 will come true.
1864roverite Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 judging by the reports its not looking too good on the striker front. fat Freddy has gone on record as saying he wont loan to another Premiership club, it has to be a sale ONLY. looks like celtic have got him on loan, but I cant see how Sutton fits into that team with hartson and bellamy

youandwhosearmy Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 i reckon sutton would be an excellent signing to be honest
JAL Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 If Feguson goes, and Rovers dont bring in a quality forward then you might aswell write the rest of the season off ! Relegation will be closer than needs to be... and a win in the cup game against Burnley will be in jeopardy which is unacceptable.
Eddie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Ummm...even without Ferguson and a new striker we are better than Burnley.
1864roverite Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 sod burnley what about premiership survival
Eddie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I still think we'd managed that. I also think there will be a twist to our dealings today, fairly confident of it actually.
BrianPotter Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Bellamy Signs for Celtic. Not sure this is true as its not confirmed elsewhere Link http://scotlandtoday.scottishtv.co.uk/cont...1_1&newsid=6541
Eddie Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 It can't be true, it was posted at 12:09 GMT which would be 5 hours ago, and there is no way that the deal could have been done that quickly, while it also would have been picked up my other websites.
1864roverite Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Rovers wont sign any 11th hour deals according to the latest in the LET
greggyk Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Well i am very angry. Do the board really expect rovers to stay up with our current strikers?? For once will the board show some ambition and sign a top player without having to sell our best first.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 What happened to the priority being a striker, etc! Guys dont hold your breath,I think this is our squad at best till the end of the season, only change possibly being Ferguson here or not.If we dont sign a striker then Barry remaining will make a BIG difference to the team.
Izzitnot Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 well blues have got pennant on loan we were holding out for bellamy but now he has rejected us bruce has got pennant on loan also bcfc admin have told us we will be getting another player in later 2night so things might start to look better afterall back to the bellamy issue, i think it is best for both newcastle and bellamy that he leaves the premierleague and stays gone
Izzitnot Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 player bruce has brought in on loan is Mehdi Nafti from Racing Santander has played 70 times in la liga
