1864roverite
Just got back from Blackburn Ticket Office. Rovers had sold around 1900 tickets and that includes yesterdays postal application (according to staff). Today Rovers have received another 230 plus postal applications and if you average it at 3 per application thats andother 750 - 800. Officially on sale are 3400 (400 corporate again its an estimate from a member of staff). In the queue were around 25 and all trying to get tickets early but all had to put their requests in envelopes for postal application tomorrow. speaking to a fellow blue from Ozzietwistle he said that Rovers expect to sell out come Friday. Cant see it myself. and finally for the dingles on here claiming about the burnley crowd at ewood Official it was 4753 info from greenbank itself

I'll hold my hand up if your right pal but then you go on to say you dont think we'll sell 1,900 tickets by Friday!? roversWASmylife
From what 1864roverite has said on the ticket details so far, that it looks like we'll sell out by the end of the week easily. I know quite a lot of season ticket holders who are wanting to buy tickets tomorrow, tomorrow will give us a better indication of whether we will sell out or not. I'm quietly confident. rog of the rovers
I was there earlier on, arounnd 4.30pm they didnt tell me exact figures, but they said over half have been sold.
SIMON GARNERS 194
Non season ticket holder- NO CHANCE. It looks like ticket stubs have possibly been changing hands for cash? Our average away support is nowhere near 2,000 but according to some 2,000 have been sold!? Edited February 8, 2005 by SIMON GARNERS
Ben-2000
They should make up their minds at the ticket office. They told me that around half had been sold then my mate said he'd also phoned up and he was told around a third had been sold! Our average away support is nowhere near 2,000 but according to some 2,000 have been sold!? The stubs themselves are apparently worthless. This new system records away games, and its those that are checked on. The bloke in front of me at the window could only buy 3 tickets and not the four he wanted a he only had paper stubs for one of them. At least I think that is what I over heard! 1864roverite
like I said SG I didnt think so myself it was simply from a fellow blue. However I really do believe that over 1900 had been sold, its such a high profile game you can bet your bottom dollar they wont reach general sale. its a 1 in 4 chance of a ST holder getting a ticket
SIMON GARNERS 194
Fair enough mate,my thoughts go back to the Celtic game and how we shifted 2,500 tickets in 4 hrs, this is a bigger game IMHO. Lets just hope those who want one can get one tomorrow.......
Blackpool_Rover
my ticket came through the post this morning, i cant wait. The free coach is a great idea aswell cause i wasnt looking forward to the drive. The only ball ache is the fact i gotta go on my own cause my mates not a season ticket holder, i cant see them being on general sale, and if they do make it to general sale they will last about an hour. Gav
Debs just heard a story on Radio 5 regarding Jack Straw and Alistair Campbell. As most will be aware Campbell has been brought back into the labour party fold to push the election campaign. The story goes that he sent an email via his blackberry to the wrong person regarding the recent poster controversy but the mail contained "F*** *F" and for this reason was brought to light. Jack Straw commented on the email by saying something along the lines of: "I think Alistair is very talented but needs to learn how to use his blackberry. I have no problems with the posters at all but speaking as a Blackburn Rovers fan I know that people from burnley are often technophobes and I know that the people of Blackburn will understand what I’m talking about! Nice one Jack Rovers 1 burnley
ABBEY
just a thought- i dont think anyone has mentioned this before... I believe the Cricket Field Stand holds somewhere around 4000-4200 in total- yet we have been given 3800 tickets. therefore- i assume they must be having an area of seats closed off, probably between the away end and the Longside? unfortunately, as i have to work in and around dinglesville, if this is the case then the numbties will claim these are seats we failed to sell- even if all our 3800 tickets are snapped up. anyone know if this is true? It won't matter in the grand scheme of things because regardless of a sell out of not you can be assured that in years to come burnley fans will believe we failed to sell out and the they had 10,000 stood outside. Thats just the way it goes.... lol gav im in the office and one of the dingles said to me there was a half mile queue today .I just laugh me bollux off! It took 1hr and 20 minuted to get tickets - and that is a fact. Not from my best mates uncle, friends lads neighbors lover who was working outside the turf (funnily enough there is no building work outside the turf today - perhaps your 'mate' was confused?) I would say that made it half a mile though. As for the Jack Straw quote. As for talking crap, its Burnley fans who generally talk it, but im fortunate enough to know some that talk sense, as in when we used to take loads away to your place (something your newer fans wont remember, especially the 'kids wearing burberry trying to be a junior suicide squad' as i was told by an ardent Burnley fan)

philipl
I think we are being a bit unfair on the borderers.
