Dan Furness
Cant see it myself. Sure, away stub holders and ST holders deserve first punt, but people who cant go every game, and cant justify getting a ST will, and should, be on an even playing field. After the first few days, sales will tail off (mark my words) and then pick up towards the end of the week just before the game.

Im quietly confident of picking a fair few up when they go on open sale they wont go on true open sale. They will require some sort of recent buying history. So thats you knackererd

JC4LAB
Your history on record is probably that of this seaapn only and one of the checks ,certainly on me,is to ask you your post code which they may have on file somewhere..you may have quoted it buying previous tickets... Looks fairly breach proof to me Being the FA Cup we may get a better allocation than if it were a league game..so there could be more tickets than you think... Some test Questions to check if you are a Burnley Fan.. 1.How far is your home from a paved road?1 mile/2miles/Dont know 2 What is your relationship with your spouse?None/SisterCousin/Pet 3.What is your fathers NameZak /Shadrak /Dont know 4Shoe size..Left.....Right Edited February 4, 2005 by JC4LAB

Paul
Im quietly confident of picking a fair few up when they go on open sale I think you may be disappointed/surprised. We have 3800 tickets. The first 1200 will go the regular away support, perhaps another 300 on corporate bits and pieces, players etc. That leaves 2300. Now I think I'm right in saying we have around 10,000 ST holders. After taking out say 1000 of those as regular away support that leaves 9000 and a lot of them will want to go. If we do have that many ST holders, and after dealing with the regular away support, only 1 person in 4 will get a ticket. As a family we very, very rarely go away and I'm looking for at least 3 and perhaps 4. There will also be a lot of instances where families use kids STs to buy adult tickets for Dad's mate etc. So I think you'll find very few, if any, end up on sale on February 15th. I think people using the kid's ST to get adult tickets for a few mates will have a big influence on availability.
den
Apart from which, the last time we played them, the tickets didn't go on open sale, even though we didn't sell out.
1864roverite
Paul I think you can higher the odds to around 1 in 5 chance of ticket availability. There is one plus side of this routine, at least the numpties from our club wont get tickets and wont cause the trouble associated with this game. It will leave it all to the dingles themselves
Blackburn Ender
Also, Paul, don't underestimate the influence of the BBC on attendance. I've decided not to go because I don't want to take my young kids. Last time round I went alone and enjoyed it enormously, but I'd hardly describe the atmosphere as family friendly. This way they can get an idea of what athe derby game is about and we'll all go to the replay at Ewood (only joking).
Duff's Minder
need help here guys. I have managed to get a ticket off my brother at the FA. It's not in the Blackburn end. I've never been to the dingle den before - how likely am I to get my head ripped off?

blue phil
If you imagine the number of people in the concourse under the Bburn End last night 15 mins prior to kick off, that was what the station was like. None of this "I'm going to sh!t myself so I'll go on the coach" rubbish. You just turned up in numbers and went. We few , we happy few , we band of brothers . clitheroe_claret
duffs minder, take no notice of a lot of what has been posted . ok it`ll be passionate and very vocal but thats it (except for the usual burberry/chav types) Depends where you`re sat. ok in Bob lord and jimmy mac upper (family) Behind goals in jimmy mac lower and old longside, especially towards the away end, cant think why will be pretty hostile! By the way, when we had to come to your place last time we actually sold all our tickets didn`t have a problem sitting in the front of the lower jackwalkers stand. Ben-2000
Clitheroe_Claret - you didnt sell all your tickets. I know the first 5 or 6 rows were sectioned off and not used and also a small bit at both sides but apart from that there were empty spaces towards the CIS Stand as well as the section which was not allowed to be used. Ben-2000
Is the general feeling here that tickets wont sell out until they go on sale to 'Season Ticket holders only' from Wednesday? I doubt that 3,800 fans have been to 2 away games this season but maybe im wrong i dunno. Edited February 5, 2005 by Ben-2000

philipl
Would have liked to go, but Celtic v Rangers is on at 12.30 and I've already paid for my flight!! Although maybe it would be a bit frightening!! Ha ha. So the Old Firm is going to be over shadowed by "little" Burnley v Blackburn". Will be interesting to get the viewing figures on that head to head fixture clash.
waggy
just to show how rumours go round,my next door nieghbour who supports scumley last night reckoned loads off rovers fans were going to turf today to get tickets in burnley end. when i was in town last night most off my mates are'nt even bothering going, all would rather watch in the pub.i will be amazed if we sell out
SIMON GARNERS 194
Your mates have probably never set foot into Ewood this season Waggles.........best place for 'em is the pub I definitely wont be surprised if we sell out.
BRFC4EVA
The thing im slightly worried about is the fact that no added prority has been given to supporters who have been to games this yr. Ive havent got any problem with the 1st 2 catergory's, on sale to season ticket with 2 away stubs and then on sale to season ticket holders. However after that, i feel there should be another catergory, for supporters who have been to 5+ games this season or maybe 10+. Personally, i dont have a season ticket, cos im a student doing a-level's and couldnt afford it. However, i have been to around 10-12 home/away games this season including cardiff and c'chester at ewood in the cup. Under the burnley ticketing scheme, i have no more chance of getting a ticket than 'Dave noname' who went to the United game at Ewood and aint been back since. Is this fair? All im asking is that regular supporters who dont have a season ticket get some kind of reward.
