Eddie Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Well we've had the wind against us, so halftime should make it even easier for us. Let's see how Norwich wriggle themsleves out of this after calling us bullies if we hold on for the result *touches several items made of wood*

Lathund Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Mokoena off for Neill, and I'm guessing Nelsen goes into the centre of defense. Exactly what I was hoping Hughes would do.
elconejito Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 i see what looks to be a 442 alignment in an earlier post, any word on who was playing where? and now that Neil is in, how have they reshuffled?
James No. 7 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 "It's all over" they say on Premiership Live. DICKOV!!!
James No. 7 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Robert Green having a bad game, according to Premiership Live commentators.
neophox Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 (edited) 3-0!!! Dickov!!! Right footed from 18 yards ...assist by Gallacher. The games is over for Norwich now I think!! Rovers have all posession! The goal was Dickovs 100th career goal! Congratulations! Edited February 12, 2005 by neophox
Eddie Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Now let's just not do a Boro, massive result for us though
neophox Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Rovers have the game in control with 20 mins to go!
James No. 7 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Savage pumps his first toward the crowd, to get the Rovers supporters to rally louder.
youandwhosearmy Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 when was the last time a blackburn player got a hatrick? hint hint
neophox Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Rovers sub Reid for Emerton! Still no Johnson on the pitch.
James No. 7 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Robbie Savage comes off to a standing ovation. David Thompson comes on,
neophox Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Savage has surely won all the supporters heart by now! It's big difference between him and Ferguson!!! Class act!
MIROVER Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 when was the last time a blackburn player got a hatrick? hint hint Good question. Jansen against Arsenal in the Worthy Cup 2001/2. 3 - 0 all over. 8 point gap now can sleep alot easier now. Good warm up for the big match next week.
James No. 7 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Confidence was running through the team like wildfire, according to Premiership Live commentators. Just in time for Burnley!
vyeo Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice to see the changes being made to the 1st eleven, and these changes actually paying off well. surely now, 451 can be cast aside for good?
Rovermatt Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Good result. 3 points well received. Let us hope Palace get a hiding from Collapse FC on Monday night.
blue/white Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 You can also count Rafa's BIG RED PANSY BOYS to that statement... would have been nice if they hadn't bent over for Brum but I guess they just pulled an Italian army thing in the face of a much larger club with superior talent !!!
Lathund Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 This game confirmed to me that even though we aren't a great side, there's enough sides in this league that are even worse. We'll stay up. Excellent result, and a good performance. Norwich were poor, but you can only beat what's in front of you so credit to all Rovers players for doing their job. And ofcourse, part of them looking poor was us making them look so. For our next game we should line up like we started the second half, that's a team that's safely midtable. Add a striker and we're a good team. We controlled the midfield well in the second half, winning almost everything, and showed some decent attacking moves. Defense looked much better as well, Norwich rarely threatened. I like the fact that with Pedersen in the team we actually look dangerous from set pieces. His freekick that forced Green to make a rather decent save was one, and his corners. Not only his ability to score directly from corners, but it was also great to see those crosses for Tugay. The second one was going towards the bottom corner of the goal. Tugay made some neat little moves in midfield, nothing that really mattered but kept the ball within the team well. I thought his passing was good today, and he picked out MGP for the first goal. Also, I loved seeing Todd make a tackle, run 20 yards with the ball and then blast it inches wide from 35 yards Green redeemed himself a bit with a good double save from Reid and Gallagher, would've done Gally's confidence good to get a goal.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 For once lets hope they actually show us on Football First's main match after a good result! Great result, 8pts above 18th position...now lets knock the dingles out the cup!
Maverick Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 A great result. MGP continue to score and creating goals from corners is good. Long time since Rovers have been good on corners. The best thing about this game is that Dickov got two goals. Hopefully this will give him a good feeling and start to score more than he has done so fare.
modes98 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 From the radio sounded a good game, worrying that it took a bad game by green to give us a couple of goals, all the same a good performance and sets us up brilliantly to beat those dingles! As for the drop dickov fan club.... answered today!
Liam0001 Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 (edited) My little brother just came into the room and said that Thompson got smacked off Doherty as there was bickering going on in the tunnel. Anyone else heard anything? Edited February 12, 2005 by Liam0001
Radagast Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Finally, a game where we give one of the crappier teams the sort of beating we should be handing out to the teams in their postion. Good to see Dickov back on the goal trail again. Hughes' decison to bring Pedersen in when the time was right seems to be paying dividends.
