That is a great article! Have the Rovers ever had a player who came from a more "ends of the earth" home town?

Rover6 can change his signature to this MGP quotation:

"In hindsight, Pedersen believes it was good for him to get a rest. He had been playing almost constantly for two years. The Norwegian season runs from February until the end of October, and he played for Tromso through the 2003 campaign, spent two months with the national side, gone straight back to pre-season, then played throughout the 2004 season before moving to England last August."

One up to me because I pointed that out MGP hadn't had a break from competitive football for a very long time wink.gif

MGP did a lot better than I expected yesterday. I thought he would get knocked off the ball.

On most occasions Pedersen looked like our best player, when he had the ball he always looked like he was capable of creating something.

Good free kick matched by a good save, a decent header only to be blocked by Roche's arm.

As for the incident where he was booked for simulation, I think we were all appealing, I've just seen it and it would have been harsh to give on Burnley but it didn't warrant MGP getting booked.

He is improving every game, a sign of a good young player for us.

Don't know if anyone has seen this, but there's an interview with Pedersen in the Times Online.

Interesting article, MGP comes across as a really cheerful character - although how long that will last with every additional interview he is asked to perform, I don't know.

I see the Times have made two common but cardinal sins. In the list of Norwegian Rovers they have Martin Andersen and Per Pedersen.

Per was Danish and Martin Andersen never played for Rovers. Tut tut. cool.gif

Edit: Just having a look around and spookily have found out that it was on exactly this day, 21st Feb, eight years ago, Per Pedersen was announced a Rovers signing. Check this.
