So the man who said "I'm extremely happy at Blackburn Rovers and definitely want to stay," - just a few weeks before handing in a transfer request and disgracefully refusing to pull on a Rovers shirt against Cardiff in an FA Cup tie - has been honoured "in recognition for his services to football".

Obviously blatant liars who refuse to pull on the shirt of the football club they are being highly paid to represent as captain, can still benefit from the British honours system.

I think it's scandalous myself.
