andy82 Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 probably Berg. I want to say Mark Atkins (used to live near him, nice bloke) but unfotunately cant...
thenodrog Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Hening Berg in front of Keith Newton highlights just how meaningless these polls really are. It may not be totally democratic but I suggest that more votes be allotted to each member on the basis of one vote per decade lived! That way the effect created by gormless kids on the overall vote can be negated. I imagine most of that know enough about Newton voted for Garner at right back as Den has already indicated that Newton will be listed again as an option for centre-back (where he will undoubtedly be voted in). Jeez wtf must that post have been like before sam edited it? Anyway I steadfastly maintain that if by some chance Keith Newton had been here in the Jack Walker years he would definitely have been picked to play right back and Henning Berg would have been left back................left back on the bench!
cravenblue Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 when are we doing the best ever left back?
tchocky Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Just thought I'd fill you in on the missing appearance figures and years: Henning Berg: (second spell, including the loan) 8th sep 2000 - 6th aug 2003 Total apps: (both spells) 244 league, 44 cup (inc euro) Jeff Kenna: left 1st feb 2002, 154 league, 37 cup Lucas Neill: 98 league apps to date, 18 cup I think those will be games started btw, for all 3 players. If that is the case then these are the apps where they were substituted in: 6(1), 2(2), 3, respectively. Stats from Soccerbase.
Cheshireblue Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I think this one is done and dusted. Are we doing the left back next?
