evukovic Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Thanks Ally... Seems to be a lot of offsides... how are the boys doing?
evukovic Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Nope, no good... Keep getting notification that due to contractual obligations they can't broadcast it... oh well
Eddie Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Nope, no good... Keep getting notification that due to contractual obligations they can't broadcast it... oh well They never broadcast during live games as they don't have the rights. Your only real bet is rovers world, I have the same problem over here in France sometimes. If not you just have to go with anything you can get on here and then text commentary from the BBC or soccernet or something of the sort.
rastan Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 we cant seem to pass at all, ok neither can they, but whats going on!! we defending well though!! stead to nick it in last 10 just like everton game
Scotty Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 We can't pass but we're defending well and stopping them creating anything in midfield. Pedersen's set-pieces are poor so far - need more from him in the 2nd half.
Mike Graham Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Dinnis reckons 300 or 400 Rovers fans. Radio 5 Live says 200!! Should have been 201 but I missed my flight back to Manchester. That's a £30 ticket up the swannee.
Backroom DE. Posted March 16, 2005 Backroom Posted March 16, 2005 (edited) Is MGP attempting to put in sh*te corners? We always tend to take bad corners but this is taking the p*ss. Oh god, not Matteo. Edited March 16, 2005 by DE4life
neophox Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 (edited) If we lose now Matteo has to be our scapegoat!!! Liverpool had 10 corners so far.....Rovers defence impressive, why the hell is Johansson off??? Use the edit button! Cookiemonster Posted on Mar 16 2005, 21:28 Why don't you use the edit button sorry chump. Edited March 16, 2005 by neophox

Backroom DE. Posted March 16, 2005 Backroom Posted March 16, 2005 (edited) Gally on for Stead. To be honest Stead has had very little service to feed off, I thought he was quite solid, from what we saw of him. Excellent link-up play with reid at one point. let's just give Liverpool a goal kick when we get a corner, less chance of getting hit on the break. set pieces are where we can beat them and we've been shocking in this area. Everywhere else we've been completely solid. Liverpool's players seem to have a problem maintaining vertical status. MGP deserves a second mention for his awful set pieces. Goodness me... Matteo - great tackle! Edited March 16, 2005 by DE4life
USRoverME Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Amusing comment on the soccernet.com live commentary: Three minutes of added time is signalled. Please, God - why?
Backroom DE. Posted March 16, 2005 Backroom Posted March 16, 2005 Good, solid, dogged performance. Typical Rovers, brilliant. Another extremely valuable point, well done lads.
Mike Graham Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Amusing comment on the soccernet.com live commentary: Three minutes of added time is signalled. Please, God - why? thank god I haven't got Sky
USRoverME Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 And the final words of the live commentary were something to the effect of "There's an hour and a half we'll never have back, we're sorry people" what wit....
Eddie Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Good solid performance, great that this is becoming the norm. If only Reid had got his head on the Emerton cross at the start of the second half. Fully deserved the result though, stopped them from playing. I actually think we string some nice football together when we get the ball, good link up play now and then and some neat passing.
Blueboy Downunder Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 very happy with this point at anfield don't know about anybody else but i thoguht we would have to battle to get any points from this run of our games against 4 of the top 5 teams in the league...proves that we are very much on the improve.
brfcshabba Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 So that puts us level on points with Birmingham, same amount of games played and an FA cup semi final Wheres Izzitnot when you need him
Scotty Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Awful game, good result. If we could pass, or if Pedersen could take a set-piece tonight, we might have won as Liverpool were dreadful. Still, it's a point we wouldn't have expected a couple of months ago.
USRoverME Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 A point is a point no matter how or when it comes our way. It doesn't have to be pretty, just effective.... look at Nelsen.
blue/white Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 (edited) A bit different from the last visit to Anfield.... Very ugly, but I'm certain we'll all take ugly all the way thru May if it brings these results !! I think I may have put the whammy on MGP by calling him the Norweigan Maradona. Should I tone it down some ? Perhaps the Norweigan Zola? Go On Rovers !!!! Edited March 16, 2005 by blue/white
modes98 Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 First time i can say MGP was awful at corners and freekicks. He must have had 5 or 6 all wasted. Defensively Todd, Lucas, Nelson were superb all game, nissa had a shakey but normal performance for once i was happy to see matteo replacing him. We came for a point and thats what we got!
B.R.F.C Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Good training session that. Friedel didnt have to make a save and we looked dangerous on the break. 2 things I would note: 1. Maybe we might score if our corners were of any quality at all! 4 knee high deliveries then 2 miles over the top of the players in the box. 2. Lucas Neil please stop falling asleep for five minutes in the game, its going to cost us some time. Apart from that good performance lads
