Manchester Blue
Actually it does say that but my feelings are that we could easily arramge a minibus or even coach from Bristol so we'll sort that out once we know for sure.
Will
For those stopping at Bristol you will have a brill time, I used to live in Bristol...what a City. Warning, I went to Bristol before the Worthy Cup final with 4 other lads and it was an absolute nightmare getting in pubs. Unless you had a West Country twang it was couples only in most pubs. Disagree ! Going round Bristol was like a night out in Blackburn before the Worthy Cup. There where over 30 of us (2 mini-bus loads), had no problems at all, great night had by all. Will be doing the same again, Saturday night.

That's just not even funny Stu!!! Especially given that I have just booked two nights in a hotel in Bristol! Cancelled my Newport one. Nothing on the nationalrail website. And as MB says, it looks like there is enough of us to get a minibus anyways.

stuwilky
Did some further digging last night, the line is closed every saturday and sunday between now and the weekend prior to the cup game. There is a possibility it will be closed on the sunday of the cup semis weekend, but highly unlikely.
Ozz
Having seen the prices I am now convinced we won`t sell 30,000 tickets. In fact I don`t think we would sell 30,000 even if it was at Villa Park on Saturday 3.00pm kick off. I reckon we`ll shift 15-20,000 tops. "We anticipate that the number of tickets available is likely to meet the demand from Blackburn Rovers supporters" The official line from the club... SIMON GARNERS 194
Looking at the leaflet we were given yesterday, the majority of tickets are priced between £45-55. NOT exactly 'family friendly' pricing is it!!!
roversWASmylife
Exactly, the prices were never going to be cheap, if we get to the final, will the prices remain the same or become more expensive? I'm going for the £25 tickets. Train leaves Blackburn at 7am and arrives in Cardiff at 11.51am.
broadsword
Isn't that cutting it a little fine?! Or does it pull up inside the stadium?!
Alex Rover
Train leaves Blackburn at 7am and arrives in Cardiff at 11.51am. You best hope it goes to extra time, that way you'll get to see a bit of the match
roversWASmylife
Cardiff Station is only a few minutes walk from the Millenium Stadium. I have great faith in British Rail......

broadsword
Is it still a few minutes walk from the stadium when there's a major game on?! I suggest a re-think may be in order
Tris
May have a few spare beds up for grabs << here >> on both Friday and Saturday nights. The accomodation is pretty basic, but then it's only 17 quid per night (21 quid with breakfast) - there's also a bar, a gym, a sauna, some climbing walls, some caves and you can go kayaking before the game. PM me (soon) if interested. No whingers.
CAPT KAYOS
Fan friendly my arse. Decent seats £45 ( £35 if you are lucky) enforced on us in all reality. What's all this £4 malarky as well to have them posted to us registered - why can't they be collected? Just gets worse and more expensive the more you look at it. For anybody's interest - My future brother -in law- has just set up his own Limosine Business and quizzed him about it on Friday. Said would probably cost it about the same price as the train - it has a fridge /dvd / stereo etc so not bad - if interested pls pm me - not sure if I will be using as probably going down on mini bus to keep costs down - can fit x8 at a push. (forgot to add - he's based in Wigan so would have to see re cost re picking up in Blackburn etc) Edited March 21, 2005 by CAPT KAYOS
jim mk2
Cardiff Station is only a few minutes walk from the Millenium Stadium. I have great faith in British Rail...... If it were BR still running the railway you'd be OK. It's Virgin Cross Country and Arriva Trains Wales you need to worry about.
berkshireblue
If you dont fancy Bristol..Cheltenham is a good night out and town.. About 6 of us staying there on the Friday... Time to forget all the negative and get 30,000 rovers fans to Cardiff to cheer on the team to the clean sweep of domestic trophies in the last 10 years now thats a thought for the big clubs!!! WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED...

They said if i apply by writing then it will be sorted they'll be letting you take bloody pets to make it look like we will sell out!
