Dave S Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I have been asked by a charity to try to find out the value of a Rovers Programme which has been donated. I am not in the position to sell it at present but would appreciate some guidance regarding its value. The programme is Rovers V Spurs November 1994 and it has several signatures. Batty Le Saux Shearer Sutton Newell Wilcox Slater Gale Hendry The article itself is in good condition and I have no reason to doubt its authenticity but I have no idea how to authenticate the autographs. The only collecting experience I have is of Rovers matches which I have attended. So I have some idea of ordinary values but this is something else. Anyone any Ideas? Quote

Kiwiwannabe Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Probably your best bet is to contact the guy who used to write a page about programmes in our matchday programme. I can't remember his name - John Haworth? Don't know if anyone on here can get his contact details. I think I used to have them, but don't know how up to date they will be. If you do attend matches at Ewood, he usually has a couple of tables of programmes in the car park at the corner of the Blackburn End and Jack Walker Stand. I don't normally go past there, so I don't know if he is always there. Nice guy and very helpful - I am sure he will be able to give you an idea of its value. Quote
Dave S Posted March 17, 2005 Author Posted March 17, 2005 Cheers Kiwi, I know who you mean. There is also someone with the charity who tries to authenticate the autographs. So I am getting somewhere. Quote
