Shaddy Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 ok, who's handy work was it to leave a cricket ball under McGrath's foot. Is sabotage the only way England feel they can win? What next, the coin hitting Ponting's eye at the toss (ok, already done, I know)
Simon Says Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 god must be english! 336604 That has never been in doubt.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Suspected broken ankle. 336610 Nothing to be happy about depriving the series of a class bowler.
den Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Nothing to be happy about depriving the series of a class bowler. 336616 Being English, you should be delighted. 100 - 0
Roaming Rover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Wicket Strauss gone for 48 from Warne - 112 for 1. Come on England
SouthAussieRover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 No more I'd much rather see two full strength teams slug it out. Good to see the South African is out
SouthAussieRover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Oh dear the collapse begins Who the hell is Ian Bell?
SouthAussieRover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 What the hell was Vaughan doing? It's a Test match. Block the hard balls and put away the easy ones. One good session totally undone by poor sloppy batting
Ste B Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Is Warne's (ex) wife still available? 336658 Gillespies is, as Slater is in the commentry box at the moment.
Aussie_Rover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 How much more luck can Andrew "Grabbi" Flintoff have. He aint got a clue against Lee or Warne.
SuperStella Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Is that why he's currently on 64 and hit 4 6's? Go back to prison and be quiet...
Roaming Rover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Lee 0 for 72 off 11 overs, who hasn't got a clue
Aussie_Rover Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Is that why he's currently on 64 and hit 4 6's? Go back to prison and be quiet... 336667 Yeah that was a great 6 when he closed his eyes
SuperStella Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Another tornado has hit Edgbaston.. HURRICANE ANDREW has been sending cricket bowls everywhere into the crowd
Shaddy Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Does anyone know where I can see some highlight video clips? Obviously it is too early to see some of the shots from this Test, but I desperately want to see Martin's catch in the first test. Living in Taiwan = little chance of seeing cricket clips
modes98 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 good to see warne and lee bringing up their 100's!
Ste B Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 unfortunately, it may be decisive that no england batsman has managed it.
Timmy Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 that was one hell of a day...10 6's in one day1
brfcshabba Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 The number of ODI matches before the tests have contributed to all the England batsmen playing one day shots. I wonder what the tests would have been like if the ODI was at the end of the ashes series
Scotty Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 400 for England, not bad for us! 336699 But 200 short of what we should have got on that wicket against that attack.
Ozz Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Maybe Scotty, but we`ll have a better idea after they bat. Anything like any lead on 1st innings for England and I would fancy us to win it. And 600 in a day is asking a little much though...
philipl Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 The imponderable is England's fielding. The Aussie batsmen have an issue tomorrow- either treat this like a proper test match and ground out the runs for few wickets down or take up the gungho ODI challenge England has set them. All test match logic should tell them to look to ground out 650 over two and a half days but their pride has probably been bent out of shape by the smearing they took today. So irrespective of what they should be doing, I expect the Aussie batsmen will be out there throwing the willow around and if the chances stick, follow-on will be up for discussion on TMS by lunch time/early afternoon. However, another pityable England performance in the field and the Australians will be within a whisker of England's total with five or six wickets in hand by close of play tomorrow. The first two or three catch/run out opportunities tomorrow could well prove decisive not only for this match but in the series. The chances will be offered, of that I'm pretty certain. Of course, it's probably going to rain all day.
