Manchester Blue Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I have a lot more respect for Warne since I started reading his articles in the Times. Comes across very well in those though i'm sure he gets Jim to help him with the long words.

dave birch Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Warne is no dummy, his problem is that his brain is down the front of his trousers.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Harmison cPonting bWarne Warne on a hatrick.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Ear pierced Fat Freddy on the rampage with the bat. Billy Bowden's arthritic signalling working overtime.
adopted scouser Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 170 ish ahead I think 250 will be a defendable target looking at this pitch 337067 Well we've surpassed that... everything else a bonus now
Exiled_Rover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Well played Rudy Koertzen, two fer, kept the total chaseable for the Aussies saving at least one hundred runs in my humble opinion.
Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Both umpires have had a great series so far - both decisions very hard ones. Im not going to blame them Freddie just hits two MASSIVE 6's the first one damn near hit my house
adopted scouser Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Another 6 for Flintoff, 8 so far in this match, ashes record.
Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Jones should have gone LBW then evens itself out these calls
adopted scouser Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Jones should have gone LBW then evens itself out these calls 337099 Pieterson (sp ?) wasn't out earlier. Ponting questioning the umpire, getting rattled mate ?
Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 As good as time as ever for Freddie to hit batting form eh? Blowers on TMS is calling Freddie "Botham" at teh moment - cant balme him though. Wheres Bob Willis when we need him?
Exiled_Rover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 It evens itself out agreed, but it was a hel! of a time to lose those wickets, when they were both settled. Ponting is getting rattled, though I still can't see us keeping them from winning
Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 yeah Im more confident that we might scrape a draw
Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Warne gets Flintoff for 73 England Lead by 282 oooo sphincter clinching time
SouthAussieRover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Pieterson (sp ?) wasn't out earlier. Ponting questioning the umpire, getting rattled mate ? 337100 Ponting has actually done it throughout the series so far. A draw is the best Australia can hope for given no team has scored so many runs in the 4th innings at Egdbaston(to win a Test) Of course it will no doubt rain for 2 days. England all out. Hopefully Flintcroft's arm injury is only trivial.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Puzzled why he didn't just keep milking them for the one every over. It tires out the bowlers for Thursday (as apparently they've only got Warne and Lee ) and well reduces the amount of time they have to bat - it's all going to count. Jones was looking solid enough in defence so that shot was unnecessary. Still can't really complain when he was tonking Lee out the ground all afternoon can I Now we've just got to hope Harmy and Jones have a blinder
Aussie_Rover Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 If i was a bookmaker i would have Australia favorite from here.
Manchester Blue Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Would have liked a few more naturally but it will take a record to win so if they do that then you have to hold your hands up really. The decisions do even themselves out but Bell was the unlucky one for me, looked set and needed runs so a shame that one. Nice to see Warne applauding Freddie at the end, I think it shows the mutual respect there is between these two teams.

Flopsy Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 looks like a bit of movement out there - Austrailia have to survive 7 sessions i think theyve managed 4 or 5 at the most so far.
