dave birch Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Bucknor's decision just reinforces my earlier comments about the Umpires today. They are incompetent. There have been so many glaring errors (errors that have disadvantaged both sides) that it beginning to make a mockery of the game.
Flopsy Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 oh stop whinging Bad decision, but so were the ones that got rid of Bell and Pierterson at Edgebaston. Oh well they even them out, what with two or three LBW appeals that should have been given
Ste B Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 4 down now.. The umpiring in this series has been poor, but it does seem to have evened itself out in that both sides have had dodgy decisions. The martyn one was easily one of the worst though.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Excellent catch by Giles. Brilliant reaction/reflex.
Bijani Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Come on Gilly and Punter, dig your bloody heels in.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Come on Gilly and Punter, dig your bloody heels in. 339187 Now look what you've done
Bijani Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Now look what you've done 339192 Ill just sit in the corner and drink my beer.
Paul Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 (edited) So how about some forecasts. I'm going for 322 all out Edited August 15, 2005 by Paul
stuwilky Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 England win. Just. Annoyed that certain people are there and that I am not.
Simon Says Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 My prediction; Ponting to play at captains innings. Draw.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 No predictions from me Paul. However this is what Test cricket is all about. I hope you are beginning to appreciate/enjoy that it can be a war of attrition at times.
Paul Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I'm certainly enjoying it and had I been able to justify not appearing in work today i would have gone - might have left the cap behind this time though
Rovers_4_life Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Last wicket to fall in the last over of the day!
Flopsy Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Less than 200 runs to go - Austrailia can do this
philipl Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 This pair has got to stay together for at least another 15 overs. They will inevitable put on 70ish runs in the process if they do so which will set up an amazing finale- 5 wickets 130ish to get 10 overs plus the hour for either side to win it. However, if the 6th wicket goes before that point, England will do it.
brfcshabba Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Australia are in a good position. They are batting well and could sneak it
Flopsy Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 If the aussies do this I will stand and applaud.
philipl Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Actualy they are much closer to getting it than I thought. England could be sweating on this one.
