Guest Kamy100 Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I emailed the Premier League weeks ago about Rovers playing Newcastle on the last day of the season as it would be Shearer's last game, they said they would pass it onto the company who does the fixtures. Lets hope they can arrange it!!
McClarky Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 We are nearly always at home on the first day aren't we. Does anyone know why or is it just coincidence? Someone told me last season in a boozer before the WBA game that it was to do with us winning the FACup 3 times in a row, he was pretty smashed though so I took this with a pinch of salt. I'd had a few too and can't remember how he was equating the 2 things. I reckon West Ham at home anyway. I always thought that we reversed our home games with the Dingles and Nobend did with Blackpool. Maybe I'm wrong.
key76 Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Yep you are right, the police insist that the local fixtures are reversed ie. Rovers/Bumley and Blackpool/Preston to avoid over-extending the local police (East and West Lancs)....OK so Bumley is Yorkshire Constabulary, but you get the point!!!!
duff Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 first game against sunderland at ewood. stead to score a hat-trick
modes98 Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 (edited) stead to score a hat-trick 326276[/snapback] Thats more than he scored for us last season...... I think it's a bit early to be making a 4-3 prediction! McCarthy to score 2 you say and Kuqi the other 2! Edited June 23, 2005 by modes98
ROVERS Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 who ever we are playing with ........... just sart the season with a bag of goals will make me a happy FAN. Cuz this prove HUghes choice of strikers are correct hahaha guess should be 1 of the promoted clubs...
Paul Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 brfcs.com is applying for a licence to publish the PL fixtures. Without a licence publishing fixtures is breach of copyright and could threaten our licence application. Would members please refrain from posting full fixture lists. Early fixtures, highlights, discussion is fine but please don't cut and paste the whole thing - provide a link instead. cheers

SuperStella Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 definately got west ham away - http://www.premierleague.com/fapl.rac?comm...lubDetail&id=22
Bobby G Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Cant complain about the start! Though the finish with our last three home fixtures against Pool,Chelski and Man City isnt the easiest of bankers.
Jim J Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 First 6 games are winable, 24 points, top of the league
cravenblue Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 not happy with first fixture, west ham will be up for it, but we shojuld get something
Hughesy Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 September looks intersting September 10 Bolton (A) 17 Newcastle (H) 24 Man Utd (A) However the first 4 games look boring. Hopefully we can get a good start
Jim J Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Just heard that Liverpool are asking for the april 15th game to be moved, as its the anniversary of Hillsborough
den Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Wigan away new years eve? Not often we play on new years eve is it?
Bobby G Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Key period that could decide our fate, whatever that fate may be is December 3 - January 14 as all those fixtures can be won on paper and we dont face any of the Big Four during that time.
Blueboy Downunder Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I reckon the fixture list is reasonably favourable for us. although december is gonna be a big month with so many games in such short spaces of time. other teams - wigan are gonna get totally and completely annhialated on the opening day.
