Neil Weaver Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Bellamy is wearing number 36 on his training top. Is that significant in anyway? 332068 Is it because he's a yard faster than the rest? Hang on, can't be that or else Matteo would have a minus number.

S15 Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 To answer Le Chucks question, no, it is not significant. Think it was Lee a couple of years ago when Emerton signed and had number 11 who said that the numbers are something to do with the size of the training gear or something.... Correct me if I'm wrong.
Lee Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Correct, the numbers are based on the players size the lower the number, the larger the size. Brad has 1
roverich Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 It's still too early to think about most of the numbers. We're sure to be bringing in another defender and we're apparently still interested in Cole and now with links to Andy van der Meyde.... God only knows who is going to get what. Pretty sure Bellamy will take 10 though and Brad will keep 1.
Bijani Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Well Im not ordering my Bellamy shirt until it's a certainty.
roverich Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Well Im not ordering my Bellamy shirt until it's a certainty. 332272 That's a good idea, I mean if Bellamy decides he wants 9 or 11, I'm sure the club will give it to him without question.
key76 Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I'm sure Bellamy would love to take the Rovers No.9 shirt once worn by his best mate at Newcastle!!!
Presty On Tour Posted July 16, 2005 Author Posted July 16, 2005 i really dont care wot number he has aslong as he pumps the goals in!! i think he will want 8,9,10 or 11!!! cant really lose there can i
petter_rovers Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Been following this forum for a year or so, finally decided to start posting myself Anyone here who actually know when the new squadnumbers will be out? I'm ordering my Bellamy shirt, but want to be certain I've got the right number
Sanny Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I reckon that Bellers will get 10, with the no 9 going to the new (more hoping) striker.
philipl Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Anyone know what the operation Thommo had during the summer was?
bob fleming Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Liposuction. 333315 I don't think so Boberto. I can reveal that it was almost certainly an operation to enable him to get his head over the ball to stop hitting shots high into the Blackburn End. One of the side effects of such an operation is of course massive hair loss. Anyone who saw little Thommo on Sky at Manchester Airport will know I'm telling the truth (yet again). Either that or it was his knee again. I don't know.
MCMC1875 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Bellamy should definately be given 11, no question, so that the number can be incorporated into his name, thereby making the replica shirts more affordable to all fans. I thank you.
bob fleming Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 My guess is #9 for Bellamy 333324 I'll say 25 then.
MCMC1875 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 61 if you use a small b and one l (added bonus that it will con everyone into thinking we have a big squad).
Presty On Tour Posted July 19, 2005 Author Posted July 19, 2005 did bellamy wear number 36 on sat? or were they in shirts 1-11?
philipl Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 61 is the letter in the cyrillic alphabet which means silence.
