This week Rovers supporters continued the celebrations with the granting of a works permit for their very own Admiral Nelsen. The New Zealand defender who in 5 months at the club, has made such a big impact that he is one of the first players pencilled on to Mark Hughes’ team sheet each game, had his appeal for a work permit granted yesterday. Nelsen who was signed from DC United in January on an 18 months working holiday visa, was offered a 3 year contract at the end of the season. However due to New Zealand’s low FIFA world ranking, Nelsen’s initial application for a work permit was refused.
