LeChuck Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Brum certainly do seem to have a decent side on paper, but their problem is that with Bruce as manager they are considerably less than the sum of their parts. 341020 He played Jarosik up-front with Pandiani tonight. You have to love him for comic value.
joey_big_nose Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 He played Jarosik up-front with Pandiani tonight. You have to love him for comic value. 341275 Imagine what Hughes could manage with a squad like Brum's! I love the rovers but in terms of playing talent only Pedersen, Nelsen, Bellamy and possibly niell would get in their side. Friedel and Savage would be a close run thing on last seasons form against Taylor and Butt/Jarosik. Delighted to see them come up short with a 3-0 (!) loss today.
tchocky Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Great result, that. Now that RyanAir are flying straight to Liverpool I'm considering a trip over for the Brum home game, or Liverpool at Anfield the week before.
Manchester Blue Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I've found him:- Serie C1 outfit Genoa have signed former Ternana and Blackburn Rovers striker Corrado Grabbi. The 30-year-old has found it difficult to rediscover his form after a woeful experience in the Premiership and brief spells with Messina, Ancona and Arezzo. Sadly Genoa are struggling at the foot of Serie C1. They gained promotion to Serie A last year but were demoted down to C1 after being found guilty of match fixing.
Manchester Blue Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Incidentally another of our former imports Yordi is now plying his trade with Mallorca and even scored at the weekend in a 5-2 win. Yes that's right 7 goals in a game, fancy that.
neekoy Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Yorke is carving up for Sydney FC, I think he has scored in every game so far
rover6 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) I've found him:- 348043 Well done, what did you say...? "Mr Grabbi, I presume?" Edited September 20, 2005 by rover6
Ozz Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 According to the reporter on talkSPORT radio this morning, Jon Stead looked like he was just wandering round in a daze during last nights cup tie at the Stadium of Light. Poor kid.
waggy Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 i'd rather half a blind jon stead than were is the goal KUQI
Drakefyre Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Youri Djorkaeff has nine goals and six assists in 19 games for the Metrostars in the MLS.
rover6 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 And Bothroyd struck a fine goal against Hartlepool and has apparently been very impressive in the reserve games he's played. Wonder how long that'll last.

philipl Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 (edited) Hakan Sukur has just equalised at home for Galatasaray. All the new found Rovers fans in Tromso won't be happy. Tromso can breath a sigh of relief- they knocked out Galatasaray 2-1 on aggregate; a fabulous result for the Norwegians. Quite a few big names are suffering tonight- as well as Galatasaray, Auxerre, Leverkusen, Feyernoord are out, Partisam Belgrade are being thrashed at home by some Israelis making their debut in European competition.
