Tim Sherwood captain of the Rovers Championship winning team in 1994-95 season has retired from professional football.

Signed by Kenny Dalglish in 1992 from Norwich, Sherwood made 290 appearances for Rovers, scoring 32 goals, before moving on to Spurs in 1999.
