It's been said time and time again, that to be a Rovers supporter, any optimism should be removed at birth. During the build up to the season, the positive vibes emanating from Ewood Park had infiltrated the immune system of Rovers supporters and they had started to suffer the symptoms of optimism, something that is not normally associated with anyone who favours the blue and white. After all the hype of aiming for European qualification, Saturday's performance against West Ham was a big disappointment and unacceptable. In his post match comments, Mark Hughes stated. "At this level you need eight, nine or 10 players playing well to get results. We didn't have anything like that, which is why we got beaten. That won't happen again."
