Eddie Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Hmm...this seems to be something Hughes is teaching the boys.

pick32 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 gallagher will be wearing a rovers shirt next season
greggyk Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 why's Gally wearing blusher and lippy in that pic?
Billy Castell Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Maybe it's a tribute to the latest talentless media whore, Chantelle.
Florida Rover Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Lee put this article up on the official site with a summary of our loaned players this weekend.click here
Hughesy Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Both Gally (11 goals) & Douglas (5 goals) have played 33 games each this season on loan. Surely we can get a fee for both of them if we were to sell in the summer.
Fife Rover Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 (edited) Just may be that Sparky wants Gally back for pre-season to assess his capabilities for forming a partnership with Bellers. Edited April 16, 2006 by Fife Rover
modes98 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Fantastic goal by gally, he has got o come back to ewood and be given another go after the season he has had. especially with dickov being somewhat old and out of form in recent times.

He'll either be leaving permanently or starting pre-season at Rovers but is unlikely to be going on loan.
blinddevotion Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Gally on Bench for Stoke today with Marlon Broomes, Matt Derbyshire has just scored again!
herbergeehh Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Ah, Marlon Broomes. What a talented defender, was it injuries that hampered his career?
tchocky Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Lack of concentration. I think most of his potential was the physical part of the game. He could never make it at this level.
waggy Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Lack of concentration. I think most of his potential was the physical part of the game. He could never make it at this level. 399866 the best ever explanation of marlon
FourLaneBlue Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 Re: Broomes. Didn't he also have a shocking injury just as he'd broke into the team and was showing a great deal of promise?
Billy Castell Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I saw Broomes get sent off at Chelsea after fighting Luca Vialli who also got the red card. It was during the dark days of Brian Kidd. But at least I got the tickets free since my sister worked for Autoglass.
tsnuf Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 McEveley ponders a move.. Would be a bit sad to see one of our brighter prospects go, but from the little I've seen, I don't think he's good enough.
FourLaneBlue Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 To be honest, it's been three seasons since McEveley looked a bright prospect. Since then he's either been a) treading water or going backwards depending on your point of view. Doubt we'll get much for him, just have to hope he comes good and we profit via a sell-on clause.

To be honest, by far the best of the prospects we have is Gallagher. He is the only player we have loaned out who has consistently excelled on a technical level (ie. looked a better footballer than the division he is in) although he has failed in terms of putting his foot in and work rate. Douglas has performed well for Leeds but seems stimied by his lack of technical attributes. And Debyshire could be good but needs more time to develop. IMO Paul is going to be the one who could seriously make the step up next season, but that will all come down to his attitude. Him and Bentley are in direct competition for places, although both players are a little flexible. My reckoning is that Sparky will bring back Gallagher, make the situation clear to him and see how he performs 'til Christmas. If he continues to arse around, then he will just sell him down the leagues in January for a few hundred thousand. If he does get his act together we could have a decent creative player.
herbergeehh Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Should add this link in this thread aswell.. Gally back to Ewood
krislu Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Should add this link in this thread aswell.. Gally back to Ewood 401635 I reckon he will be in the squad facing Charlton saturday. "Mark Hughes is keen to take a look at Gallagher's form before reshaping his squad for next season. BBC" With Dickov leaving, and Pongo not looking to sign a permant deal, it may open the door for Gally to play some part for us next season. I'm hoping we sign another quality striker and have Gally and Kuqi as back up players.
G Somerset Rover Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 If Pongy is deemed to much of a trouble maker, then give Gally a go up with Bellers I reckon. Couldn't do much worse than Kuqi or Dickov? Failing that for those advocating that MGP is given a rest in the team, then he could have a go on the left.
