Paul Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 ahem do rovers have a trophy room or is it just that display case?? 347602 That list is just a cut and paste from here I happened to be reading it on Friday to check the last time Newcastle won the league. Don't want to be rude paddy but it doesn't count for much. Both clubs have a great history and proud tradition but right now we are doing nothing more than making up the numbers in the PL. I have to say Newcastle do themselves few favours with all this great club, great fans nonsense - the reality is, like Rovers, you're just another average PL club that will win nothing, along with another 19 sides.
Bobby G Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 This match has titan clash written all over it. But, I think its going to turn into a scrap. Come on Bellamy. This can be your day to shove onto Newcastle's face.
Bobby G Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I have a dirty feeling that Newcastle with all that is going against them may steal this one. I hope to God that I am wrong.
greggyk Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 (edited) Since when does 'runners up' count as a trophy. And winning the bottom league does not count also But well done, Newcastle are the best losers! also- why have you not included our ENTRY into the european cups on our list just like yours Edited September 18, 2005 by greggyk
Bobby G Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Dont forget Newcastle lost in the semi-finals of the Intertoto Cup this season. Lets add that to their list of honors!
RevidgeBlue Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Since Souness left for St. James's to ruin the barcodes as well, this has replaced the Manchester Buccaneers as the must win game of the season. COME ON ROVERS! Heart says 3-0 win - Bellamy hat trick. Head says we will dominate the game but our lack of finishing power will catch us out - 1-1 draw.
Jim J Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I've got a feeling Savage will play a major part today, either he'll score the winner, or he'll be sent off. Hopefully the former.
DudeAbides Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 We will definately win today!!!! its in the stars , bellamy to score too
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 PaddyK, you've brightened up my morning no end with that bit of Newcastle 'spin'...... Roll on 2:00pm.
Welshrover1981 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Just checked the BBC website and lawro has got a 2-1 Newcastle win. Does this bloke really hate us or what. what a Tw*t. Im going for a 2-1 win to Rovers. Hughes will have the boys up for this. Should be a good encounter.
Steptoe Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 That said, im gonna predict a safe 1-1 draw Friedel Neill Zurab Nelsen Matteo Mokoenna Reid Savage Pedersen Bentley Bellamy Subs...Kuqi, Jansen, Emerton, Gresko, Tugay 347470 Put Gresko in for Matteo and add Jansen to the bench and you're spot on!
American Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 Chat seems to be working, but only I am in. It didn't work at first, so if you did not succeed....
Maverick Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Rovers was the best team the first half. Two good free kicks from MGP and Savage.
DudeAbides Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 yea lets hope we can score a couple in the second half..
Mr. E Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I refuse to watch anymore, this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. We deserve to be relegated for what we have done today.
lubez Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 what a joke... so promising first half and to come out and play like we have in the 2nd... very dissapointed
AllRoverAsia Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I am ashamed at that capitulation against a very poor Newcastle. Neil will have earned a few points towards his desired transfer to NUFC with that stupid foul to gift Shearer his goal. The fact is that Rovers are crap and will struggle in The Championship next year. They make me puke - useless garbage.
krislu Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I refuse to watch anymore, this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. We deserve to be relegated for what we have done today. 347685 Seen the game stupid?! We were clearly the better team, but with Nelson having his worst performance in the blue and white, and Neill making an ass of himself giving away a easy freekick we can't win. We create a lot of decent chances, but can't score, its a real worry..
Flopsy Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 sorry - we have been mugged - Rovers played well and Newcastle get two (good) but against the run of play goals. Its just like watching Rovers under Souness
