Cocker Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Allot of people I know think that Cock-er is quite an apt name for me. Cant think why?
Jolly Giraffe Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Michael Owen was quite apt when his little gambling habits were exposed. Ian Walker had an ironic ring when he once took an early bath at Ewood. Most probably the most mis-appropriate name in football..... Dennis Wise ?
Radagast Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Rafael Scheidt (pronounced '@#/?'), who played for Celtic maybe 3 times after his £5m transfer has the most apt name in football.
andy82 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Bastian Schweinsteiger is another good un - pig lifter!
MCMC1875 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Steve Death and Keith Fear were part of the early 80's Reading side.
Friarsnig Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Is that the same Keith Fear who played for us in about 1977? He only had a handful of games at Rovers but will forever be remembered for his goal, on his debut for us, against Burnley at Turf Moor on Boxing Day. What a guy!
James No. 7 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Craig Short and Paul Dickov in the same team. *gets coat*

cletus Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I think there`s a lot in a name..... That`s why i don`t think Rovers should sign Kevin Imshitatfootballme
DanLad Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 anyone remember iain bogie? 351062 I remember him. Joined Preston as the 'new Gazza'! Played with John Thomas, I recall...now there's a name (and a pretty good player in his day!)
colin Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 What was the name of that French forward who signed for Newcastle? Translated as "galloping horse" or something similar. He was their Grabbi. "Limping donkey" would have been more appropriate.
Radagast Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Danny Invincible Where is he now? 351099 Kilmarnock.
Blueboy Downunder Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 now the following has nothing to do with football in england but i thought it was still rather funny. back in the 70's or 80's here in australia there was a bloke who did a streak across the ground in a rugby league grand final....now i aint sure if this is completely true or not but his name was/is "Mark Hardon" i am sure that sydney rovers and some of the other aussies could shed some light on this.
