Ricky Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 When I did Football Aid last year the tactics from our previous game were still on the board. Wish i'd snaffled them away now!!!

thenodrog Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Last night was speaking to a bloke that had managed a large hotel in this area and quite out of the blue he said that the rudest sporting person that they had had stay was Steve Bruce! He sais virtually all the staff that he had had contact with complained about his ignorant and dismissive attitude! As an aside this chap said that everybody else in the sporting world that he had contact with from the RFW through to snookers Steve Davies, Dennis Taylor Willie Thorne etc etc were superb and mannerly with the only other exception being Stephen Hendry. He said that on more than one occasion he had to request that Stephen Hendry dispensed with his habit of continually ordering Big Macs and eating them in the hotel foyer. I guess that Hendry's attitude might have been more shyness than ignorance but it certainly accounts for his spotty face!

Its no wonder the porn pushers of Brum love him. Dunn went from the frying pan to the fire in terms of escaping from Souness.
Flopsy Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 that being said he doesnt seem to have fallen out with his players yet.
philipl Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 The BBC's view on Midlands clubs in the Premiership (at the moment). Forssel is now out for at least another three weeks with an injury picked up in training this morning. Couldn't happen to a nicer club really...
John Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 They seem to be picking up a lot of injuries, wonder if Souness style training is becoming the fashion these days.
herbergeehh Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Why do bad things always happen to nice people?
philipl Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Bruce hasn't got the foggiest idea about where he is....
BRFC4EVA Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Has forsell even scored a prem goal yet this season?
AndyC Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 that article on Grainger makes me laugh. People queuing up to state that poor old grainger will have to work for the rest of his life because he didn't make enough money out of the game to retire! My heart bleeds! So he managed to play football and make a living for over 10 years - he should be thanking his lucky stars!!
philipl Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 It is reported in The Guardian this morning that Birmingham have signed an out-of-contract Faroe Island defender for the rest of the season. No, I didn't make it up.
philipl Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Steve Bruce: a model of clarity and motivation. The Torquay United Chairman has said today: "We would have preferred to play a big club away but this will do." They have drawn you know who from St Andrews in the FA Cup.
Lee Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Ha ha, I know the Chairman at Torquay, he's great bloke, he runs their website!

AlanK Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Ha Ha, keep digging Bruce, keep digging. And it wasn`t a few fans who were booing. Anyone watching the game would have heard the Utd fans singing for Bruce to give them a wave. The second he did, a monumental boo went up around the ground. Muppet
James No. 7 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 More great news for Big Club and tired old Bruce: 'Bizarre Bruce loses confidence of players' Birmingham City players are reportedly losing confidence in their manager Steve Bruce after a series of bizarre decisions. Read on... Oh, how my heart bleeds!
Claytons Left Boot Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Big Club's next two games - Man Utd at home & Chelsea away!

Read on... Oh, how my heart bleeds! 368552[/snapback] haha..................Dunn is said to have swore at Bruce as he was substituted - although, as per normal, the incident was omitted by Match of the Day. Presumably, it wouldn't have fit with the squeaky-clean version of football they are apparently determined to depict. class
philipl Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 From the Guardian this morning: "QUOTE OF THE DAY "If our supporters were offended, then I apologise. It was not a slight on them or our club. It was an instinctive thing. I thought to myself: 'I shouldn't really have done that'. If people want to hang me for this, then that's up to them" - Bernard Cribbins says sorry to Bongo fans after applauding MU Rowdy supporters last night. No sign of a mea culpa about leading the Blues to 19th in the Premiership, however." More in the same vein here- the Mancs get a rough ride...aahh.
blue/white Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 (edited) Pandiani leaving Brum for espanyol? Asking price of 1 MM ?? Good bit of business that. $2 MM loss from just this past January. Well done, Gold !! Edited December 28, 2005 by blue/white
herbergeehh Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Pandiani joins Robbie Blake as a million pound give-away for poor Steve Bruce. As said earlier; couldn't happen to a nicer fella'. Going down, going down..
AussieinUk Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 (edited) What I find funny is that Pandiani scores the equaliser for Brum against Man U .. and will leave the club in in 3 days at a £2m loss!! Edit: Bruce is now saying he is not gone yet... Edited December 28, 2005 by AussieinUk
Ricky Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 So after 19 games the Big club in Aston are on 13 points after 19 games. just to highlight how much trouble they are in I had a look back over previous seasons. Out of 12 teams relegated in the last 4 seasons, no team has had less points after 19 games than Birmingham do now. Relegated Teams and points after 19 games Norwich 15 Palace 14 Southampton 14 Wolves 15 Leeds 17 Leicester 18 Sunderland 18 WBA 16 West ham 14 Derby 16 Ipswich 15 Leicester 15 Only 1 team has escaped the drop in a worse position than Birmingham are now, and that was WBA last year. They had 10 points after 19 games and ended up on 34. I don't see Birmingham having a run like West Brom did last year. I think they may be down and out. Upson limped off yesterday and is out for about 4 weeks.
