Guest Vinjay Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Craig Bellamy's had a couple of chances. Rovers seem to be showing more goingforward than last week not that the have any choice with the early goal.
modes98 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Don't deserve to be 2 down, curse of the commentator strikes again. Rovers need to get an early second half goal!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 2-0 Arsenal.....sorry boys 'n' girls but we are not in the same class as these top teams. Time to move on and look forward to some winnable home games in the near future

sambo Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 savage is being a right d**k ive heard trying to wind everybody up and trying to get reyes sent off. hes a liability at times
Rover4ever Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Reyes should have been booked for his "pansy-punch" at Savage's face. Thats the second game our players are hit with the referee doing nothing. Also was a bit surprised to see Todd starting but i am not sure whether Zurab could have done anything about Henry's goal though.
1864roverite Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Rovers undone by pure class in Pires and Henry If they can keep arse out for another 15 minutes and grab a goal back then who knows ?
modes98 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 savage is being a right d**k ive heard trying to wind everybody up and trying to get reyes sent off. hes a liability at times 363294 Maybe you shouldn't believe all you hear. Reyes struck out at savage and therefore tried to get himself sent off! Bellamy and MGP playing well, how we aren't level is a mystery! Get Kuqi off for Dickov for me, give them more of the pace problem up front!
Tango Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 3 contenders for goal of the month apparantly, not much we could do about that I guess.
greggyk Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 seemed a very harsh result. But im sure plenty of positives to take from the game.
Rovers_4_life Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Didn't expect anything else really, we were always gonna struggle with their quality.
todd_could_take_tyson Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 one positive is definately thompson, he played really well considering how long hes been out, if he can keep improving he could be on the way to being the player we all know hes capable of being. He produced some nice skill and always looking to take on his man today.
Rovers_4_life Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 After hearing match reports sound like we played quite well and were unlucky to lose 3-0.
Shevchenko Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Don't think the result reflected what happened during the game really. We weren't outplayed by any stretch of the imagination. Just needed a little extra infront of goal and we should have taken something from this game. A draw wouldn't have been unfair. But once we went behind that early there was always a risk that they could hit us on the counter attack at any time, which of course happened towards the end of the first half (excellent goal by the way). But Rovers were brave and commited men forward when the oppertunity presented itself. Bellamy had a good game in particular. Nothing else to be said about v. Persie's goal than the fact that it was pure class. Brilliant goal, just typical that we were on the recieving end of it.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 No team loses 3-0 and are 'unlucky'....we were undone by 3 quality goals and had no reply for all our huff and puff.

Time to move on and look forward to some winnable home games in the near future 363289 We were every bit as good as Arsenal on the day. Difference was finishing. Nothing else. I thought rovers were superb. savage is being a right d**k ive heard trying to wind everybody up and trying to get reyes sent off. hes a liability at times 363294 Liability? Savage was superb today.
RoyRover Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) A disappointing result, but apparently we played very well and had plenty of oppurtunities to score. When you get these chances against the better teams, you have to take them, because they will punish you at the other end and that's what happened. Edited November 26, 2005 by RoyRover

Maybe we deserved to get beat but we still could have been unlucky, they scored 3 very good goals, that to me is unlucky that they produced those against us and not next week.
todd_could_take_tyson Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 No team loses 3-0 and are 'unlucky'....we were undone by 3 quality goals and had no reply for all our huff and puff. 363311 rovers 9 shots on goal arsenal 10 shots on goal real huffing and puffing that is!
den Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 It was better than huff and puff. It was quality passing football that Arsenal had, for most of the game, no answer to.
