Cocker Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Loved reading this thread. Like most I had spat the dummy and gave up hope. Sod Roar and Roarina get Abbey in there as our mascot - more luck in him than the irish Well done Rovers and well done Abbs
doctorryan Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 FANTASTIC! STUPENDOUS! SENSATIONAL! UNBELIEVABLE! AWESOME! INCREDIBLE! When Thommo's shot went in my heart stopped. I wish we played Charlton ever week. 364059
Alex Rover Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 NEVER OVER TIL THE WHISTLE!!! CMON 364044 All Hail the King!
Shaddy Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 And can we stop talking about Matt Jansen now? He wasn't even on the subs bench, yet a couple of posters on this thread predicted him to play a part tonight... sadly, he really is well and truly finished, and everyone needs to move on. He'll be all right for the rest of his life, don't worry about him.
ace Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 What a come back! Kevin Gallacher nearly wet himself on the air ( radio lancs) when Bentley scored! ps anyone remember when we last came back to win from 0-2 down?
Bing Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Teams left in as well as ourselves: Doncaster Arsenal Birmingham Wigan Man United Middlesbrough Bolton/Leicester I'd fancy us to beat any of those teams at home, most of them away too. No Chelsea and Liverpool makes it look a rather weak grouping, with Man U and Arsenal fielding reserve teams.
nonaynevernomore Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 thompsons goal was amazing saw highlights !!! listening to that was one of the best moments of my life (well i am only 13 so havnt seen much yet!!) the commentators were going crazy i was jumping up and down sorry neigbors if I woke you up!!!! boasting will be aplenty at school!!!
G Somerset Rover Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 (edited) Utd and the gooners wouldnt field a reserve side in the quarters. Roon, Rio etc were playing tonight. As you say though at home I fancy us against anyone. Edited November 30, 2005 by Somerset Rover!

des Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 well niceon lads, when I saw it on sky that we were two down I thought thats it, then 2-1 oh I thought this is getting closer, 2-2 pens then I heard it live on sky when bentley scored to make it 2-3 to rovers. Well I never, nice on lads and roll on the draw and a home tie
nolan9 Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 (edited) Went absolutely mental. Thompsons goal was something else. The other two were good finishes also. Edited November 30, 2005 by nolan9

Bolton, Borough, Arsenal, Man Yoo and Wigan away would all be tough. If we can get that then I would say we would be third favourites behind Man Utd and Arsenal as it is home and away in the semi. Hoping the big two go far in Europe as it will make them rest players.
