Hughesy Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Bad news!! LET are reporting that Bellamy got a hamstring injury yesterday and that it is possible he could be out until Mid January. We will miss him!

Guest Vinjay Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh that's brilliant. Just brilliant. The Walkers may regret not signing another top class striker in the summer now. Or more likely they probably don't care.
Jim J Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 So thats probably 6-8 games he'll be out for. This is very worrying.
AlanK Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh ffs mods. Bloody do something. this prick is pissing me off now.
John Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Great, just as he was getting a run of games together. Got a busy and important schedule over Xmas as well.
Hughesy Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 He's having a scan tomorrow to confirm what the damage is, however according to the LET it was heavily strapped yesterday! Doesnt sound good! Quarter final of Cup and some very important league games against teams of a similar level.
Ste B Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh ffs mods. Bloody do something. this prick is pissing me off now. 365730 He's just had a warning for going off topic.
Guest Vinjay Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 It was related to the topic. If Rovers had signed another top class striker then the loss of Craig Bellamy wouldn't be anywhere near as bad as it is. I'm just expressing my dissapointment over the news.
mac Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Off topic think off a cliff may be better!!!! Hope the scan shows that it aint as bad as first thought, Mid Jan is a long long time to be without him !!
SouthAussieRover Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh ffs mods. Bloody do something. this prick is pissing me off now. 365730 It's quite simple. Don't ###### reply to him. It's all about self control As for Bellamy being injured we are doooooooomed.

philipl Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Now behave Flopsy, no personal abuse against fellow message board members.... no matter how accurate it might be. The kid obviously cannot read or else he would have realised that his emnity towards the Walker family is totally off-beam. The Walker family are a beneficiary of the Trust according to the Trust's terms, just as Blackburn Rovers are. As a fellow-beneficiary, the Walker family are no more in a position to sell the Rovers than John Williams is at liberty to cut off their inheritance. Everything is pre-determined by the settlement Jack made in establishing the Trust. Let's just be thankful for the £6m a year we have been receiving since Jack died. Anyway if Bellamy is out for four weeks, its curtains for any hopes of good league finish or surviving the League Cup draw at Boro. Edited December 8, 2005 by philipl
Nayef Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Kuqi and Dickov up front for us? Oh man - I have n e v e r felt as doomed as a Rovers supporter since 1999 (and other relegation battle seasons). Any hope of a victory against West Ham has just evaporated in front of our eyes. I am not joking!
Bobby G Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh well, it was a matter of time. Everytime he fell in games, Id fear the worst. Shame. Now we are screwed. No striker to put them away. And with the critical phase of our season coming up...Just a shame...
Flopsy Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Jansen back in from the wilderness? 365752 I'll take ashley ward - I presume Jemail might be getting a run out now
Ozz Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Back to 4-5-1, scappy games, boring afternoons, bully boy tactics and all the other tactics of last season. Still, retro is quite popular now. We may even get another semi-final too.
krislu Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 We knew he was injury prone, but nevertheless a big blow for us. We should still play 4-4-2 though, using Kuqi and Dickov if both are available. Now we can all see how desperate we need another quality striker as not even a Championship side would be happy having those two up front...
John Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Bentley playing in the hole behind Dickov. Mmmmmmmm Edited December 8, 2005 by John
USABlue Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Oh ffs mods. Bloody do something. this prick is pissing me off now. 365730 I second that and have asked the same previously, as have several others. Why is nothing done, it's bleeding obvious that this individual has nother to offer this board other than THE SAME ###### ###### every post. There I said it, now do something.
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Terrible news as this is, it may be a blessing in disguise as it will further highlight the need for a Benni McCarthy type figure's arrival at Ewood in January. Actually it's not a blessing in disguise ... it's more of a massive black cloud with the faintest possibilty of a silver lining.
