92er Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 According to the LET MGP is likely to be fit. According to Gray on Radio Rovers, the players have been left in no doubt about Hughes' opinions on the last 2 performances.

RevidgeBlue Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Given the dire need to get back on track and get 3 points by any means necessary I'll settle for a repeat of the ManUre 4-3 scoreline. Us 4 (anyone, anyone, anyone, anyone) Mackems 3 (Stead 3) After which we can start defending properly.

salothsar Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Some of the pesimism here is unbelievable. This is Sunderland we're talking about - the worst team in the history of the premier league. They have managed 10 bloody points all season. WHEN we beat them we will be 6th.
philipl Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Hope you are right salothsar! Both Kyle and Stead looking for their first goal in aeons so we've got to score at least three.
salothsar Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 From the little I've seen of Stead this season he looks like he'll never score while he's got a hole in his arse. He's usless. Did us a great favour but was definitely a quarter season wonder
bubblerrovers Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I was at the the brentford Sunderland game and we fail to beat sunderland tonight, It would be a disgrace and show how little ambition some of the players have got. Please win
bob fleming Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Some of the pesimism here is unbelievable. This is Sunderland we're talking about - the worst team in the history of the premier league. They have managed 10 bloody points all season. WHEN we beat them we will be 6th. 384139 7th. But I agree with you. They're very poor. Very poor indeed. Bellamy and Pongolle could have a bit of fun up against Breen. Who is very, very poor. 4-1 Rovers. Bellamy x2, Bentley and Savage. Stead for them predictably.
salothsar Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Bugger. Yes 7th. I can't understand all those that say it is so obvious and likley that Stead wills core because he's up against Rovers. I know he will want to but he's wanted to all season. It was a lot more predictable that the horse would score because he's very good at it whereas Stead is bloody woeful
Presty On Tour Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 6 wins from our last 8 games at ewood, i think the first goal could be vital though in this game like saturdays against the toffees. if we score first early doors then i predict i riot
pleasure Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 hope our players have been on a couple of 'crash courses' this week:- 1. to defend against the high ball 2. to break down 10 men behind the ball 3. dont play the high ball to two midget forwards. on 2nd thoughts it's sunderland! bogey team or not, should be a comfortable home win, but.......

stuwilky Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Not sure about this one. 384210 I posted that at the weekend. Ive seen him once or twice and have to say I thought he was pretty good.
Uddersfelt Blue Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Any chance of this game being called off at the last minute? Just checking there haven't been any flash floods or earthquakes and the like in the Blackburn area before we set off from sunny Yorkshire
Backroom trueblue Posted February 15, 2006 Backroom Posted February 15, 2006 Ive seen him once or twice and have to say I thought he was pretty good. 384211 Seems to be a bit free with the cards though
roversmum Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I posted that at the weekend. Ive seen him once or twice and have to say I thought he was pretty good. 384211 Apols, Stu. Didn't see the link. (note to self - "must do better" ) Hoping for a good game with a win for us and no return of ice, flood, fire or pestilence.............
SAS Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 WHEN we beat them we will be 6th. 384139 i just hope our players arent thinking like this its an IF never a WHEN
mode_m Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Blackburn 6 - 0 Sunderland The only one who can save Sunderland now is Batman .......or I guess Ronaldinho. Either way there is no doubt in my mind Rovers will win.
bob fleming Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Any chance of this game being called off at the last minute? Just checking there haven't been any flash floods or earthquakes and the like in the Blackburn area before we set off from sunny Yorkshire 384213 Can't see there being a problem, although there has been a dramatic drop in temperature over the last hour or so. Still not to worry, no doubt it'll warm up when the sun goes down.
Presty On Tour Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 skysports predicts 2-0 rovers!!! mccarthy also backs goal shy stead but i think he does that every week anyway and mickey gray thinks it will be tough so hopefully this means that the rovers will come out fighting and focused http://home.skysports.com/club.asp?clid=5&cpid=8
greggyk Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 come on guys, a bit of optimism wont hurt. especially from you mode m Rovers 7-1 Sunderland Todd(22) Whitehead (70) Pedersen (27) Reid (33) Bellamy(45 + 51) Bentley (65) Pongolle(77) Att: 23,214
Nayef Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I think you are all scaring yourselves over Stead. I can't see him scoring at all. 383876 It's posts like that that ensure he does score. just like the recent thread entitled Heaven which appeared on this mB straight after the Man U win. Jinx or what. Blackburn 0 Sunderland 2 J. Stead and A.N. Other Back to being Sandcastle Ewood.
Blueheart Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I can see Sunderland putting 11 man behind the ball and we doing everthing but score.
Presty On Tour Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 well good preview here too. didn't realise it was hughsey's 75th game in charge http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/4703768.stm
