Bobby G Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 One going on at St. James right now too. 50/50 chance there mainly due to the stands.
krislu Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 How is the weather over there now, is it snowing or just cold?
Claytons Left Boot Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 The Breezeblock is living up to its name - match postponed due to failure of under soil heating!
Bobby G Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Damn. Tugay out against Wigan now. But our boys get extra rest before the Wigan game. Blessing in disguise?
adopted scouser Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 The Breezeblock is living up to its name - match postponed due to failure of under soil heating! 369445 Err, ours is off too ! Save me checking my phone every five minutes for the score. Off to the pub soon for the derby !

Quack Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Confirmed cancelled by Mr Dowd on official board
krislu Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 "Blackburn's pitch was also frozen" I guess we couldn't afford putting the undersoil heating on, got to save up for the January transfer window..
Bobby G Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Newcastle have called for a second inspection at 6.30
The Dart Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I would never have thought it was that cold in Blackburn. Though you are very close to Scandinavia.
krislu Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I would never have thought it was that cold in Blackburn. Though you are very close to Scandinavia. 369460 not that cold here mate, only about -6C at the moment..
Guest Vinjay Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Gerald Jackson said it would be fine about a hour ago. Fortunately I saw Sky Sports as I was about to set off. Thought the pitch was one of the best in the league...obviously not. Thank you Gerald for nearly wasting my time.
philipl Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Something odd has happened. The temperature in Blackburn is supposed to be -3C at the moment and the undersoil heating is supposed to handle -8C temperatures.
Bobby G Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Well Bolton's stadium failed too and they have a newer system than ours I assume.
Gav Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 An absolute disgrace, what the hell has gone wrong with the undersoil heating. Debs has put her extra pair of socks on and thermal Bra FFS. Gutted
grizfoot Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 They can't play with the under-soil heating on though can they ?
blue phil Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 What a bloody disgrace - one night of frost and the game's off . However do they manage in colder countries ? Feel sorry for the poor buggers who've travelled to the match . On the bright side it gives a good excuse for a night out on the ale ....
des Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 do we have under soil heating and if so why is it not working
Bing Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 From a friend who's a steward, its apparently very small areas here and there that are still frozen but as soon as the heating is turned off, the whole pitch will be like that.
