yawnsie Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Got a feeling about 2-2. Redknapp will come and attack us, and the Rovers pessimist in me thinks we'll have a bit of a nightmare at the back.

tchocky Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I'm scared. There's a buzz about Pompey these days. New management, new owner, and a few good results. We really have to be up for this.
Liam0001 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 everyone on sky sports news, well the pundits, all prediected a blackburn win. even rob whats his name (who presents goals on sunday with kamara) said he was shocked! maybe we are re-writing the pundits observations!
SAS Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 that means a loss surely we cant get 9 out of 9 in the christmas period can we?
Eddie Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Basically all the results are going our way at the moment other than in the Bolton-Liverpool game so if we could pick up a win it would do be great. Edit- As I say that Liverpool score and that scoreline is that much bit better for us. Edited January 2, 2006 by Eddie
Bobby G Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Pompey just announced a new joint ownership. Another Russian whose dad owns Beitar Jerusalem in Israel. Another Russian Jew, a la Roman and Khodorkovsky, so more dark secrets of the oligarchs me thinks. How much money will he pump into the club in January....
tchocky Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I cannot believe Canal+ here in Norway aren't showing the game. There's no other games on at the same time. This is shocking. I might have to call them...
mrsjansen Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Worrie dabout tonights game, while on paper it says it's a game we must win, Pompey aren't v. good at the moment and all the pundits on sky are predicting a home win. Thats gonna be Portsmouths first away win of 2006 and we know how clubs like to come and get firsts against us.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I'm not predicting a score but what I will predict is we need to start the game at a high tempo, get our foot on Pompeys throat and keep it there. If we start off slowly and play casual football the little bit of confidence they will bring with them will grow and we'll have a problem to solve. Kill Rovers Kill.

I know you mean this season, Mrs. Only kidding You're right about firsts against us though... I'm hoping for another comprehensive, confident victory. An early goal and we'll kill 'em. The longer it goes on the more confident they'll get. I'll go 3-1 Rovers

Shevchenko Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Should be released very shortly. Edit: Friedel Neill Khizanishvili Nelsen Matteo Bentley Reid Savage Pedersen Dickov Kuqi Edited January 2, 2006 by Shevchenko
modes98 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) matteo is the only change to starting 11, good to see dickov and kuqi kept together but i can't imagine Bellers will be over the moon at staying on the bench. Edited January 2, 2006 by modes98
Bobby G Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Actually Im sure Bellers will be aware that Sparky wants to ease him back in, hamstrings can be a nasty thing. I can see him getting 90 minutes against QPR to get him ready for the United game. This may work to our advantage or could backfire. He could come on with the game stretched and with lots of space and tired legs. Disappointed for Gray. Lets hope Dom does OK. Having Tugay on the bench is another joker card.
Rover4ever Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Same story also here in Finland. 370825[/snapback] Same story 3000 miles away here in the UAE They will show just ONE Rovers game in January (against Bolton). Compare that to 5 for Spurs and 4 for Birmingham ..... And the funny thing is that they will not show oru games in spite of there being no time conflicts (as in today)
Hypo-Luxa Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 What's that song that blares over the speakers when Rovers go in for half-time? Oh and GO ROVERS!! Reid instrumental in that econd goal....His improving game will make the Tugay contract talks a bit more interesting....if he can keep it up...

Or perhaps you mean the god awful "Final Countdown"? *shudder*
Hypo-Luxa Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 No that'd be Wild Rover. Final Countdown...should go away forthwith
