modes98
hmm the hammers, not the best draw. Easily Winable but would have liked a lower division team. Quite a few all prem ties, could be in with a good chance if we make it through!
Presty On Tour
we got the hammers away!!!! another tie that caught my eye would be millwall v chelsea, only if millwall can get past everton first in the replay
berkshireblue
Not a draw of choice but some positives: 1) revenge for opening day 2) Winnable even if after a replay 3) West ham always have a big crowd even if on TV so good revenue for the club after 12k gate v QPR Confident we will be in the 5th round

Ronin
I reckon we could progress to the next round with this tie. And at least we've avoided Man U (if they get through ), Chelsea, Liverpool and the Arse.
den
I'll settle for the result when we played 'em in the mid sixties. 3-3 at Upton Park [John Byrom hat trick] followed by a 4-1 drubbing at Ewood Park in the replay [Andy McEvoy hat trick] Bobby Moore and all. Anyone else go to Upton Park for that game?
BRFC4EVA
Naff draw to be honest. Long way to go, all prem affair and a difficult tie as well. Esp annoying as the 2 draws around us were nob enders away and colchester away! Oh well , its just its been a long time since we've had a decent away tie against a lower league opponent! Neil Weaver
[JIM MODE ON] That's us out of the cup then. We NEVER (OK, once) do well at West Ham - since 1990 : P12 W1 D2 L9 . If we're incredibly lucky and get em back to Ewood, we'll win - in the same period P11 W8 D2 L1. It's a home banker, concentrate on the Carling Cup then! Hughesy
Not the worst draw. I can see Liverpool and Arsenal both failing to get through this round so a good chance for rovers i feel. 3-1 to rovers

Unfortunately the big fellah disagreed and I entered this world in 1980. Good game though.

The draw was not kind to Rovers: West Ham away is a very difficult tie.
roversWASmylife
thet beat us on pens in the cup a few years ago so we owe them one 372809[/snapback] Hendry missed one and Lomas scored the winning one I think. West Ham away, at least we missed some of the bigger teams etc. Not sure if I'll be going yet.
SAS
bit crap for us fans, all these cup games to pay for, and this london trip hope its on tv
AlanSheppard
Pretty nasty draw. West Ham are strong at home and will take some beating even if they've had a bit of a blip lately. Hopefully we can take them to a replay and beat them at Ewood.
grizfoot
Also makes it 3 away games in a week (United, Newcastle & West Ham) . We should be able to beat them though
RevidgeBlue
About as difficult a draw as we could have had, but on current form we're one of the top 6 sides in the country and they're certainly not. We have to go there convinced we are going to win it.
Ste B
We have to go there convinced we are going to win it. 372863[/snapback] If nothing else, Hughes will get that part right. The difference in preparation and attitude from 18 months ago is immense. Hopefully our fans may start to notice that and start coming back. Hopefully it wont get moved for TV. andyrovers
Personaly I think its a crap draw away in at WHU. Ok we could get revenge for the opening game this season and we could win it. However I would have prefered a smaller club, somewhere I've never been to. Or even a home game .

Rovers_4_life
Could be worse and could be better, we have a chance of getting through, West Ham will feel the same but perhaps stronger, should make for a good cup tie.

Blue blood
Bad draw. In fact only by getting a big team, other than birmingham, could it have been worse. West Ham will definately think its winnable, in fact it's their only real shot of glory. Not a team I'd want to face in this situation. Added to which two semis may well give west ham the edge. Would take a draw if offered and get them back up here.
