Robin Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 So of the three live games chosen by the BBC five of the six teams are from the Premiership? Aren't these the same tossers who constantly whitter on about the FA Cup being the cup for glory and upsets? Isn't there already a Match of the Day and a Match of the Day 2? What need of a third? So many more interesting games and yet they chose these... 375132 Saturday Chester/Cheltengam-Newcastle 12.15 BBC1 Bolton-Arsenal 18.40 BBC1 Sunday Wolves-Man Yoo/Burton 4.00 Sky Sports Portsmouth-Liverpool 6.00 BBC1 Now im waiting for the swedish TV to choose wich game will be showed 3.00(16.00CET), but i suspect that it will be chelsea versus Millwall/everton....

Ozz Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 (edited) First Match Of The Season Away At WHAM Interesting views, only five months since. KUMB Preview Thread Edited January 26, 2006 by ozziejones
philipl Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Hopefully unlike the link above, this one actually opens. It is a rather good preview by a Hammer.
1864roverite Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 For me Rovers should play a reserve team and forget about this game. We have a "replay" agaisnt manure next week which IMO is far more important. We have to wreak revenge on this red scum of a football team so we should rest the like sof Gray, Nelsen, MGP, Neill and Savage.
Quack Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 SSN reporting Dean Ashton out with a groin injury!

Let's not treat the greatest domestic cup competition in the world with contempt. The 'red scum' you mentioned did that when they jetted off to Brazil, I hope never to see the day Blackburn Rovers scorn the FA Cup.
1864roverite Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 its only in preference to a higher league position
Flopsy Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 we have no strikers to speak of - id give Jemal and Kuqi a run up front - MGP on bench, Peter on the left wing
FourLaneBlue Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 its only in preference to a higher league position 378566 You said on the Man U thread that if we lose again it would reduce our confidence and send ud down the league! Surely winning would help our league position by keeping our good run going and keeping our confidence high? Usually a good cup run helps improve the league form too. It's not so often that cups interfere with league form - at least not just the one cup anyway.
AxesFirstTouch Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 we have no strikers to speak of - id give Jemal and Kuqi a run up front - MGP on bench, Peter on the left wing 378644 Jemal is @#/?, I think hughes has sussed this due to him not even making the bench of late.
SuperStella Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 With one fit striker why have we not asked for Gallagher back?!!?!?!?
waggy Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 With one fit striker why have we not asked for Gallagher back?!!?!?!? 378690 i think it's something to do with sparky not rating him
OJRovers Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I think the WHAM game must be the time to play MGP up front, Peter / Emerton on the wing. Hope Reidy continues his good form.
philipl Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 (edited) Nice interview! After scrolling past the violent neanderthals, I loved this comment: "that has to be wind up re Dailly?" They are quick those Hammers. This West Ham web site doesn't even know what round they are in. And they forgot to type in the team! Edited January 27, 2006 by philipl
SAS Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 does anyone know if this game is on foreign telly
theresonly1alj Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Lawro's Prediction ----------------------- West Ham v Blackburn I have to go for West Ham. Blackburn are the same as Wigan in that they had a really big game in midweek against Manchester United. They are also looking a little bit short up front at the moment with Craig Bellamy out with an injured hamstring. Full match preview Verdict: 2-1 SURPRISE SURPRISE
pick32 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 2-0 westham we dont look capable of scoring with our attackers
frosty Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 (edited) West Ham 1-1 Blackburn Harewood 62 Kuqi 64 I think if we could bring them back to Ewood we would be okay Edited January 27, 2006 by frosty
Jordan Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Where is everyone planning on going for a pre match pint tomorrow? As for the score........i would be happy to get a draw.
USRoverME Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 With one fit striker why have we not asked for Gallagher back?!!?!?!? 378690 He may have been cup-tied for the ManU match and W. Ham as well? so maybe the thought is to let him keep playing, then recall him?
roversWASmylife Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Can't afford it, hope it's being shown somewhere.
waggy Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 just shows how far the fa cup has fallen in fans eyes, just 4 pages off posts and 3 off them were on about the draw.i am not sure what will happen tomorrow,we need at least a draw, but most off all we need a centre forward
nonaynevernomore Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I think: Kuqi playing... West Ham 1 Blackburn 0 Nowt up front No Kuqi.. Hammers 0 Blackburn 2 Emerton 33, Pedersen 55 Cant see it happening IF WE PLAY KUQI
