RevidgeBlue Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Have to disagree with Will, I thought the atmosphere from the 6000 Roverites was blinding at the last OT semi final. "You've only come to do your shopping" - sums the job up perfectly. I'll be there. Part of me is loath to contribute a single penny, let alone 31 quid, to Glazer's mortgage debt but it's a semi final and I can't not go and support us in those circumstances. Plus the more I rerun Wednesday's game in my head the more I think we can pull off an upset if we take our A game to the Theatre of Merchandising.

berkshireblue Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Also have to disagree with Will the support last time was brilliant.. That was also the utd view, on their messageboard they stated that the rovers support 6000 was louder than the 9000 south coast muppets who had been there the previous week in the FA cUp 3rd round namely Pompey

Q...When do tickets go on open sale? i think it may be monday, but dont take my word Edited January 14, 2006 by slater_scott
stuwilky Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Q...When do tickets go on open sale? 374412 today. After the match.
stuwilky Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Ronaldho off in the Derby!! Suspended??? 374479 yup. Think they will appeal it though. Thought it was a little harsh myself.
sleepyjack Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 (edited) I think he will be, doesn't he miss the next three games? United might appeal successfully though. It never looked like a red card offence to me. edit: pff, too slow. Edited January 14, 2006 by sleepyjack
1864roverite Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 stop Rooney and you stop united it appeared today that uniteds other players are not simply on the same wavelength as rooney. united now HAVE to progress in the fa cup and they now MUST win their in the middle league game. Rovers have an opportunity beckoning and with a rested Bellamy its looking 10/1 odds are inviting
philipl Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Well, one good thing about yesterday is that it has weakened the Mancs for their game against us. Cristina will be unavailable (might have been a tad harsh but there is no denying that it was late, dangerous and with murderous intent- even RFW has said he was wound up after a decision which went against him) whilst there seems to be a growing expectation that both RFW and Rooney will face charges for the half time fracas yesterday. Quite apart from the suspension(s), losing 3-1 at Citeh has ended the Mancs good run and shown them to be distinctly ordinary. And as for Evra, hope he plays like that against us. The Mancs have Liverpool next Saturday which the scousers will be really up for as they will move ahead of the Mancs with a win. It will certainly be a very tough game and no doubt more histrionics etc.

That should be a cracker of a game! Probably the 1st time in alot of years, Liverpool will feel they`ve got the better team. Expect fireworks for that one!

Expect fireworks for that one! 374722 Even better- it's the Sunday 4pm game so we have an extra day's recovery over them. Here's hoping the Mancs get a good kicking off Burton mid-week as well. RFW has got to put a few more first teamers into the team for the replay surely?
SAS Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 lets hope that liverpool game is very dirty and several get sent off including shrek
greggyk Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 could be suspended anyway. Reports in todays papers say he insulted the ref at half time and could face a ban.
1864roverite Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Rooney to be charged ? UMMMMM interesting. I wonder how this one pans out. Rooney 3 game ban for that abusive behaviour Nelsen banned for 1 game for stating the truth makes you wonder ????
Claytons Left Boot Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Whilst getting my daughter a ticket for the Bolton game at dinner time yesterday, I enquired about the United cup tickets. Are there plenty left? Pause - wry smile - yes. I'll be getting mine at the weekend. Come on Rovers - only one game off a cup final.
Hasta Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I'm getting the train over but, if it goes to extra time and penalties, anyone know if you can get a late bus back to Blackburn?
cn174 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Just checked the last national express train, but that goes at 22.45 One of your best bets may be to buy a ticket for away travel, go to the game on the train, then get back on away travel, because getting the last train (and bus) at 23.08 will be pushing it
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 What's the chances of the Rooney situation being resolved and having his possible ban active for the second leg? Ronaldo definitley banned for the second leg ... If we can get those two out of the picture that's a start at least.
philipl Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 No doubt there will be headlines one way or another about Rooney and Ferguson when the Referees reports are analysed by the FA at lunch time. Ferguson has said that Scholes is out for another two weeks with blurred vision.
trs Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Ferguson has said that Scholes is out for another two weeks with blurred vision. 375040 I cant see that.
Backroom trueblue Posted January 16, 2006 Backroom Posted January 16, 2006 I cant see that. 375078 You got blurred vision too then ??
Presty On Tour Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 rooney, ronaldo, scholes out, fergy maybe banished to the stands, giggs, van big lips, and saha down with food poisoning!!! we would smash them
Hughesy Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 United have challenged the red card and have their hearing tomorrow. Give him an extra ban for challenging the decision
