tsnuf Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 im not crazy about the shirt MGP was wearing.. i don't like how the front looks like a vest, and the logo isn't pretty either.. but then again it could be much worse!

philipl Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Sky sports reporting its worth £6m over three years. Not quite the £100m Emirates are giving Arsenal but pretty good by Rovers' standards.
The Gull Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Noticed on Sky Sports News that a fella was carrying a mock up shirt in the background with the logo on it. Don't know of this was the official design or not but it looked like one of the choices we could vote on, the one with the badge on the middle of the chest. and, the bet24 logo was the green one we have seen on some of the mock ups on here. It is good to see that John Williams and his team are now operating Rovers on a very sound basis and I believe this deal is a real sign of the times for the ay the club is now run.
Lee Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I'll repeat it, the shirt was a mock-up purely so to show off Bet24 as the new sponsor.
Wolverine Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Well personally, I think the shirt was a mock-up purely so to show off Bet24 as the new sponsor. But that's only a guess...
Presty On Tour Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 when is the casino and the dog track being built next door to ewood then?
The Gull Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I apologise as I hadn't read any new posts since yesterday afternoon on this thread, so didn't see your comments.
pleasure Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Didn't really get chance to see the logo I was mightly Pi$$ed off to see the badge and Lonsdale over the centre of the shirt!!!!!!!!!! MAJORLY PEED 381225[/snapback] me too, badge in middle reminds me of the awful kit from 98/99 and we all know what happened that season! i had kit 1, the red lonsdale looks like a bow tie!
brfcshabba Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 It was a mock up. The shirt will change. Don't make Lee have to come and tell you again..
ihtd Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Well i hope you are all bloody right in saying that it is only a mock-up. The one MGP had on looked @#/?, i'd still buy it though as its putting money in the coffers but, still i hate the badge being in the middle ever since Brian Kidd had his reign over us, i don't fancy being relegated again.lol.
Hughesy Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 According to LET, which are usually a reliable source - its worth £6 million over 3 years as others have mentioned. On the design it shows, the green background of the logo isnt on the shirt.
mode_m Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Does anyone remember the Manchester United kit a few years back (2001)? Anyway getting to the point, it was all in greyscale, the logo, the umbro sign and the sponsor. Perhaps this is an idea for the new Rovers kit.
ihtd Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Mode M, can you get hold of a picture of that kit you are on about. I have a vague idea but i am not sure, which one you are talking about?

Presty On Tour Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 by the way ostenstad scored a hat-rick that day but one goal was later taken off him i think.
Platini Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Er. It was actually this shirt... http://www.manutdzone.com/atoz/u.html The most infamous kit was the hideous grey strip of 1996 which United never won a game in - players complained the kit's pattern made them blend into the crowd and hard to pick out.
bazza Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 My mate tells me we can vote for our choice of shirt design on the official web site but I've searched and cannot find anything.

tcj_jones Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 (edited) God the mock up kit looks awful. The badge in the middle is bad enough, but those extra mpieces of blue and white under the sleeves - as is modelled by MGP - look so crap it's untrue. Atleast have the extra white below the blue and the blue below the white... if you get what I mean?... Funnily enough, I don't think the sponsor looks bad at all. Edited February 7, 2006 by tcj_jones
