Shearer is reported to have said, "A chunk of my 299 goals came for Blackburn Rovers and it would be super to make it 300 down there." Although Shearer left Ewood in controversial circumstances in 1996, to join Kegan at Newcastle, his greatest achievements and honours were during his days at Ewood Park where he was key member of Jack Walkers dream, winning the Premier League Championship in 1994-95 season, scoring 30 goals plus in 3 consecutive seasons, scoring in total 128 goals for the club
