Ozz Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 They used to sell mittens in the old club shop, you know before SWI...£2 in t'sale.
thenodrog Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 BTW if you are aged 40 or younger, ignore this. Don't start that one again. It's been done to death. 387194 Very true it might indeed have but I've still never heard a satisfactory answer.
Ozz Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 The answer is that those who left five minutes from the end on Saturday are very stupid people.
roversmum Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Possibly, just possibly, some of them might have other commitments than going to the pub after the match. For example, the lady who sits in front of me has a disabled husband at home and she needs to get back to him asap rather than sitting in a queue of traffic for an hour. They've paid their ticket money, if they want or need to leave early that is their choice. Or perhaps you'd rather they didn't bother to come at all - then you could moan about attendances. Too many people on here are quick to make assumptions without considering other people's circumstances.

I never moan about attendances, I do my bit, I can only sit in one seat. Barring your friend the rest are all daft for leaving early. IMO. Edited February 28, 2006 by ozziejones

greggyk Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Have you all heard this yet: Its when Stuart Hall meets Robbie Savage. Crazy is the word to describe it Look down the page to find the audio link
bob fleming Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Look down the page to find the audio link 387333 Well Stuart Hall seems to like Robbie, it's just a shame that Stuart Hall appears to have finally lost his marbles or maybe he was just caught up in the euphoria of our win! Either way I agree, that was very strange.
thenodrog Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Stuart Hall should have been pensioned off after 'its a knockout'! ..........No before it! He brings absolutely nothing to Prem footy anymore..... if he ever did in the first place. Cant stand listening to him.
Eddie Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Love listening to him. His poetic ramblings are great fun and he does know what he is talking about. It will be a sad day when you can no longer hear him on the radio. The last thing on earth I'd want would be people like him being replaced by yet another former footballer struggling to string three words together. He may not always provide some brilliant piece of analysis but he can sum up the game well and always does it in an original and interesting format.

BUT ...in his offering on the game last week he described Bellamy as leaving his defender stranded "....like a pillar of salt " . I've taken him off my death list for that one

thenodrog Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Love listening to him. His poetic ramblings are great fun and he does know what he is talking about. 387533 Ho Ho Ho............ Ha Ha Ha............Ho Ho Ho..... Hee Hee Hee.......Ho Ho Ho ......Ho Hum Hah............repeat to fade. He's just a gibbering embarrassment more suited to commenting on blindfolded pillow fights on greasy poles than football. We're prob stuck with him forever cos I imagine in the millenium + years a combination of the H&S Exec and ambulance chasing lawyers will never allow shows like 'It's a Knockout' to be filmed ever again.
rog of the rovers Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Agreed Stuart Hall is the best reporter on Radio Five
mjs Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Cant stand listening to him. 387530 Then don't . Much rather than listen to him than most of the other mundane and predictable rubbish that the BBC usually have.
Lee Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I had the pleasure of Stuart Hall's company before the game, he's swallowed a thousand dictionaries in his time. When I departed for the team news from the tunnel, he said "Lets hope we get the win!!" Dunno how many animals died for his coat though! Play your joker play your joker!
thenodrog Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Very good Phillip. 387697 I know that you are only being sarcy Macca! But stop it or you'll upset him....... He really thinks he's funny!
Ozz Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I see that your egg turned out to be a pile of sheet Lee?
Paul Mellelieu Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Theno, I thought it was genuinely really funny.....now where's that Lancashire United shirt of mine.
