What I am hearing from the porn boys, it seems they are going to get BIG CLUB to adjust their finances to a second division outfit pronto so all the high wage earners are to be eased out if possible.

Well if Dunn is willing to do that then great! But frankly he would be an idiot if he did, cos with his record he could be a pauper! In financial terms probably the best deal he is going to get is to stay at Brum, where I think he is on around 30k a week.

But if he is willing to take a massive pay cut, and I doubt his 'pay as you play' contract would match his brum one, even if he plays every game, then it can only be good for Rovers. Another option for Hughes without spending too much cash.

It does sound a little unlikely tat Dunn would give up that kind of money though, even for his hometown club.

Pay as you play deals usually mean a decent standard wage which is topped up by appearances. So...not pay as you play at all really. Jansen's and Dwigh Yorke's for example were referred to as 'pay as you play' but when they moved it became obvious that it wasn't just that.

A fully fit Dunn would be an asset to any team.

One the subject of his injury record - I seem to remember lots of players at Rovers having problems with fitness before Hughes took over. Maybe he thinks his medical/fitness staff could do the business.

As much as i love Dunny, i do not want to see it happen. The lad is a superb talent but he has been ruined by injury after injury and we need players who spend more time on the pitch then the treatment room. My heart says sign him and we all go back to singing his name on the terraces but my head says even on pay as you play that it would be a stupid gamble.

How much would we have seen of Bellamy this season if Hughes had not taken it easy bringing him back to the team and full match fitness?

Brum are not now in a position to dictate. Top earners at relegated clubs very rarely stay, especially ones who have had alot of injury problems. They may just have to cut their losses now.

Judging by their injury problems, Bruce's training regime is on a par with Souey's. I would back Hughes and his staff to get Dunny on the pitch more often and therefore would love to see him back at Ewood.

Forsell looks past it, it looks like his injuries that he has obtained throughout his career have ruined him. 2 or 3 years ago i would have taken him but he just not worth the gamble anymore. Just look at the chance he fluffed yesterday, he is too like Paul Dickov in terms that he messes up whena good chance is offered to him.

Don't agree at all. The man has not played many games, is lacking match sharpness and has been thrown back into a team that was collectively under massive pressure and short of confidence. You should judge him on his record not on one chance. He's an excellent player and clever too - an ideal combination with Bellamy.

As for Dunny, I would love to see him back and taking over from Tugay over the next couple of years

Mind you, I'm still waiting for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coming to Rovers after it was said to be a done deal on here.

It's a tough one, he's one of the very,very few players capable of playing a Tugay like role in todays game, he's also a local lad who we all loved. The down side is when was the last time he played for 90 minutes TWO matches on the bounce ? That's more than just a niggling injury.

I am fairly sure no other prem team will be wanting to sign dunn except dunn and that this topic would have an easy answer for all people had he not been a bburn lad for all his life and been such an asset in his younger days.

You look at this season and he has been injured or played the odd game and got injured again.

Now why would any team want to pay probably a decent amount of money for a player who is always on the treatment table.

Forget Dunny he is nothing for rovers any more!!!

If there is to be a Dunny come home deal, I expect it to be on a free very quickly.

Brum are keen to avoid paying his wages and must realise his contract is worthless- thirteen months costing around £2m in wages for a player to prove his fitness in the Coca Cloa does nothing for them.

On the other hand, Rovers would want to get their hands on him pdq to manage his fitness/recouperation/lifestyle to ensure an August start if possible.

All hangs on Dunn convincing Sparky his mind is right and the medics that his body can be made right.
