Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 a blast from the past : lets hope this is us again come sunday 6pm 387025 Woah (very Keanu-esque ), how many of those players are still with the team? I don't recognise the guys hugging, so all I can make out is Tugay. Talk about turnover!

Backroom trueblue Posted February 28, 2006 Backroom Posted February 28, 2006 I don't recognise the guys hugging, so all I can make out is Tugay.387213 Isn't one of the guy's hugging (the one with Souey's hand on his head) Paul Gallagher?
ihtd Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I do not fancy our chances away at the Spuds, we are once again going into a match as the under-dogs, which imo suites us better. Against sides we are expected to beat comfortably we seem to under-perform, we kind of become arrogant. When we play a better side that "Arrogance" seems to go away. That all sounds a bit contradictory but i still do not fancy our chances come Sunday. Away from home we have really been shocking this season, losing to sides like Villa and WBA, teams if we are gunning for the top 4 we should have won without any problems. If and its a big IF, If we win on Sunday, i might start to believe some of the hype of us finishing fourth, but IMO we are the least likely team in the top 8 to finish in 4th place. Spuds 3 Rovers 1

Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 You can see its Cole because Yorke's name/number would be creeping into the picture. 387259 I recognise that lot, and the keeper (Kelly), but they're not at the club anymore....which was kinda my point. The hugging guy nearest the camera could indeed be Gally, though I question whether he was in the first team at that time. It could also be Jay
Ozz Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Gally came on against Arsenal as a sub earlier that season, but didn't appear at WHL. Likely to be Jay. What a good day out that was.
Radagast Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 What about the guy that Jay is obscuring? Hignett?
pleasure Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 a blast from the past : lets hope this is us again come sunday 6pm 387025 i'm on there! ah happy days! what a great trip that was. yorke and cole were fantastic and todd played like beckenbaur! i reckon the 'kuqi monster' should play on sunday. i know.... before you all give me pelters, remember back to the ewood game. he dominated dawson and frightened the life out of him. bellers can then attack king.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 What about the guy that Jay is obscuring? Hignett? 387266 Oooh good call. No idea if you're right, but it could well be!
Jan Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Wasn't that the day we said goodbye to Dunn and Duff? Or am I thinking of another year at WHL?

pleasure Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Go on then, let's see you circled, John Madden style 387272 i'm the head between souey's legs! seriously, that's me!
roversmum Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Didn't Higgy get a rather cracking goal in that match?
bellamy11 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Didn't Higgy get a rather cracking goal in that match? 387282 He certainly did. Volley from the edge of the area to put us 2-0 up.
SAS Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Didn't Higgy get a rather cracking goal in that match? 387282 yeh poyet got sent off early on then cole, hignett, dunn and yorke all scored that day i think
Gareth Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 AS we've got a chance of getting back in the Champions League (where we belong!), we'll mess it up - this is Rovers we're talking about after all... Spurs 2-0
yellowsubmarine Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I feel a draw will be a very good result for us. Anything more than a point is fantastic! Spuds 1-1 Rovers Mido Bellamy We ought to be concentrating on beating the 5 teams after the Spurs game.
pick32 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 totenham i dont think are a consistent side there not much better than us apart from king and robinson are players are pretty much the same quality imk goin for a 3-1 rovers win
frosty Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Tottenham 0-0 Rovers Yet another boring Rovers game for Sky Tv
pick32 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 i think we have a reaaly good chance of going above totenham as they still have to play newcastle, man u, chelsea and arsenal i can also see them getting a point out of the arsenal game because they will get beat of a better manu and chelsea team and newcastle look to be on the way up without souness
Alan75 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Isn't one of the guy's hugging (the one with Souey's hand on his head) Paul Gallagher? 387233 Gally wasnt in the squad, could be McEverley.
Rovers Air Force Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I said 0-3 for saturday so I guess I should not change a winning formula! 3-0 Spurs!
Montfort Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I thought the match at Ewood was excellent with the two teams evenly matched. We are a better team now than we were then. If it was a home fixture I would expect a win. 0-0 draw is the most likely result. ( Wouldn't it be magnificent if we won though!!! and we stand a reasonable chance of doing so)
