Sydney Rovers Posted October 21, 2002 Posted October 21, 2002 According to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Tugay is set to sign an extension to his contract for one more season by the end of this week. Rovers have exercised an option to keep Tugay for an extra year, after attracting attention from a number of clubs after his stellar performances for Turkey at the World Cup. With this news and Tugay impeding retirement from international football after the Euro 2004 qualifier against England next years, means that he’ll be focusing all his energy towards Rovers. So we’ll be seeing Tugay’s crisp passing for at least another season.

den Posted October 21, 2002 Author Posted October 21, 2002 The lancashire evening telegraph is reporting that Tugay will take up an option of a further 1 year extension to his contract. This will take him up to the summer of 2004. On top of this, he will also retire from international football after the qualifiers for euro 2004. Great news for rovers, as he will now be directing his energies directly to the Ewood cause.
